blog SEO & PPC positioning for success

Before I even launch...its good to think about SEO and PPC right away. Market size, competitor saturation, optimal ratio of supply and demand is everything with SEO/PPC. Thats why its critical I pick the right blog topic and strategy to rollout. Please help.

I have spent a lot of time and money planning to launch my blog. There needs to be a scientific way of picking the blog niche. Looking for the perfect balance between market size and competitor saturation. Basically, looking for the optimal ratio of supply and demand. There needs to be a way to determine a factual answer by using google insights/adwords/ keyword engines etc. The area I am looking to start a professional blog, with lots of money/time relating to the following topics:
lifestyle design
life strategy
life hacks
life hacking
life automation
pursuit of happiness
lifestyle strategy
work life strategy

FYI, the entire purpose behind this is Im trying to build a brand for myself similar to other entrepreneurs chrisbrogan.com etc So when the next product or startup goes to market I have credibility with a large follower group already. On my blog MarkMichuda.com I can blog about lifestyle design but relate a lot of it to startup tech companies like Timothy Ferris. However, on the company blog that doesnt exist yet.... TextHub.com/blog we will blog on that specific niche industry more in depth.

Does this sound like a good or bad plan?
