Will Wordpress or Xsite Pro2 allow me to achieve a higher rank in the search engines? Does anyone know of a good place to get Wordpress custom designed sites? Thank you for your help! |

Good content ranks higher so doesn't matter what you use (within reason) to get that content onto the web.

Hi Sam: I use both Wordpress and XsitePro in designing websites and so far haven't noticed much difference when it comes to SE ranking. However, Wordpress sites seem to get indexed faster by the search engines especially google, sometimes within 24 hours. Also, wordpress is much easier to maintain in the long run. Henry |

Google doesn't rank according to the type of content management system but instead the quality of your content and backlinks. Cheers, iYingHang |

I own both. Well actually not Xsite 2, but the original. I got so tired of the speed of XSite Pro on large sites, and the limited availability of themes, not to mention complete lack of useful plug ins that WordPress provides that I abandoned it. I didn't notice much different in ranking as a result of the way that the program laid out the data. And yes Google doesn't really rank the backend... unless of course the software were for some reason filling the top part of the page with code before the bots could crawl the text. Xsite Pro is okay software. But with the fee availability of WordPress it's just yesterdays news. |

Well, all what the folks have said about on page SEO and good content is right, and i agree with that for sure . but because of the fact that the majority of new wp themes are being produced to be SEO friendly and because of all the SEO and tracking and optimization plug-ins out there wp is the way to go ... at least for me ![]() Good luck |

I am using xsite pro2 soley for building micro niche websites and all my sites are on page 1 although I cannot tell if I would have gotten such results in wp blogs as I don't use them for these sites.

Both will rank equally.. I like xsitepro because I don't have to screw around with endless plugins and theme updates and security issues etc. You will find a lot of xsitepro bashers on here who have either never used it or do not know how to use it properly. |

I use Frontpage and Dreamweaver and both are nice tools. Don't get hung up on the kind of software. Use what makes your job the easiest and what your most comfortable with. Remember, it's the html code that matters. Sometimes I just use notepad.

The thing I don't like about Xsite Pro is that I lost my websites after I changed harddrives. I tried to import my websites with no luck. This would not happen with Word press.
