Google On-Demand Indexing

I just came across this video on YouTube which tells about 'Google on-demand indexing'.

Has anyone tried this ?

After further review, it seems on-demand indexing is not the same
as real indexing:

Quote from google:
"On-demand indexing uses a special index that is designed just for Custom Search Engines. The main Google search indexing process is separate and uses different selection criteria, so pages in the on-demand index are not guaranteed to be included in the main Google index. Submitting pages for on-demand indexing will have no affect on ranking or indexing for Google.com."

A normal person can have their site index in 24-48 hours, the real index, no problem.
