Default Bulk Static HTML to RSS?

Hello, does anyone know of any tool that can mass import static HTML pages and convert them to a SINGLE RSS? I know of a few but they create one feed per url which is not what I want.

I recommend you use the bulk html 2 rss converter at feedage.com. Registration is free if you don't already have a feedage account.

Funny thing... I was wanting the opposite and couldn't find it-- one that took static HTML pages, converted them to an individual RSS feed.

Daniel Tan offers something that may be of interest to you. (It fits the bill for me.) It does exactly what I need above and then takes each individual feed and combines them into one large feed, giving you one big rss feed for how many ever url's you put in. He calls it an RSS joiner

Here's his WSO:

Tom: Unfortunately Feedage's Bulk HTML2RSS service creates one feed per url.

Marko: Just tried that...doesn't support multiple URLs per feed.

Thanks for the link. It does exactly what I want but I don't know if his generated rss feed (.xml file) is compatible with softwares like RSSbot or other rss submitters. Someone in that thread commented it isn't.

Hi there,

@Brandi thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, the script is able to generate validated RSS feed, which means it will be compatible with RSSBot and other submitters. The script has already been updated to generate validated Feed.

Daniel

Create Your Free Hosted RSS Feed In Seconds is another option. Just paste in your urls and it creates a Feed for them all. You could also use Yahoo Pipes.

Fraggler: Thanks! That does exactly what I want. It works and it works well. Plus I can edit the feed anytime I want to add more links. EXCELLENT. And it's compatible with RSSBot.

Just to let you know.. Daniel's output file is compatible with RSS bot- I tried it with several different xml files.

Let us know what you decide to use and if it helped you achieve what you wanted! (And, what was it that you were wanting to achieve-- I mean, the final result?)

What is the motivation? What I mean is, what is the goal, or purpose for turning static pages into RSS feeds? Does it just basically create more backlinks if you then put that feed into RSSbot?

Or what?

Thanks, just trying to understand the thought process behind this.

my service use html2rss.com...

some tips using html2rss.com is to make sure you copy paste your URLs directly from notepad and leave no space after the last URL (make sure you hit delete after the last character in the last URL).. sometimes if you paste it from MS word or you leave a space in the last URL, there will be errors in the RSS result.. and you cannot submit it to RSSbot..

hope it helps

making rss feeds from html can be useful for backlinks n quick indexing... it's because the rss feeds are submitted to numerous high page rank RSS aggregators like feedagg, icerocket, feedest, etc...

Hostmyrss.com has not recently been functioning correctly. My feeds are still in "waiting" mode for weeks.
