Default Creating BackLinks Through Warrior Forum

Hi.

I am wondering if it is possible create positive backlinks through the Warrior Forum by putting my website in the signature?

When looking at:

Google PageRank Checker - Check Google page rank of any web pages

it gives the message for Page Rank of this page as:

IMPORTANT: N/A (not available) - it is not possible to show any pagerank now.

The N/A pagerank (grey pagerank bar) might be due to one of the following reasons:

(1) the web page is new, and it is not indexed by Google yet,
(2) the web page is indexed by Google, but it is not ranked yet,
(3) the web page was indexed by Google long ago, but it is recognised
as a supplemsupplemental (Supplemental Results) page,
(4) the web page or the whole website is banned by Google.

So does this mean there is no positive effect from posting the link here. Also many other 'dofollow' forums give the above result too, so should they be avoided?

Thanks.

Jim.

I think it's possibly your computer, I've just done it for the forum and it says PR is 4/10.

Hope this helps,
Chris

When I always put a certain website in my sig it went to a pr 4. Since I removed it, it went to 0 and now it's a 1.

I had it there when there was a reason and it "fit."

I checked this page specifically, that is:

Creating BackLinks Through Warrior Forum

on 3 different browsers and an iPhone, it gives the same result as on post 1. However if I put in warriorforum dot com then it gives a page rank of 4.

I was under the impression for page rank purposes, the important consideration is the specific page the signature is sitting on and not the general domain name as in warriorforum dot com. Is this a wrong assumption?

Thanks.

Jim.

I don't know about any significant PR boost ( PR is meaningless anyway ) but my new sites do get indexed in Google lightening fast when I have them in my signature here at the WF... I'm sure that can be considered a positive...Don't you agree?

I was under the impression Page Ranking (PR) was hugely significant: if a link is posted on something that is PR8 it'll have a greater impact then something that is PR1.
I do notice that many 'dofollow' forums have the message from above when putting it into Google PageRank Checker. Since creating backlinks is not only time consuming and very important I was asking this question, to see if my efforts are wasted by posting not only here but elsewhere too.

Hi Jim,

It's impossible to see the PR of a brand new page that was just posted. Toolbar PR is updated infrequently, once every few months, so you would need to wait until the next Toolbar update to see a recent PR value. A page on the Warrior Forum can gain PR just like any other web page if enough people link to the targeted page.

Signature links on the Warrior Forum are good for quick indexing and direct link traffic from topically related posts. I wouldn't use it for link building for PR.

Nope... Don't believe the hype.

PR is just silly and meaningless for most sites...That little Green bar is the biggest scam to date that google has put forth... I have seen and statistically tracked sites that have no PR out-rank sites with a PR 4 (I don't have data for PR 8 sites) for the same highly competitive Keywords...

Don't chase PR... Chase good quality content that truly benefits the end user whom would naturally want to link back to you and share...That is the best "white hat" way...

Gavin
