Hi Scott, looks like you're new here. Welcome to the warrior forum.

If I was trying to sell templates a link to the templates would be in my signature, right? Thanks for the tip though.

Hi Tim, nice site. Hope its the first of many adsense sites. If you are just starting out it is a good idea to keep them all in one niche for example; cancer... just makes it easier to manage.

Hi Leanne, Thank you for your compliment. I'll stay with this niche. I have found a bunch of cancer related keywords with a high search volume and low competition. Its a rescipie for success, now if I can only get better at writing articles.

I would recommend also changing the wide skyscraper on the side to a blue link and also the rectangle at top needs to have a black or grey url on the bottom.

I think your site has potential. Not sure if you perhaps shouldn't integrate your google ads a little more less conspiculously into your site. You need to give the user lots of content!

I am having trouble with my adsense. When I tried to change the color for the titles for the google ads, they would show changed and then I would check my site and they didn't change. I have tried 3 times now. Also, does anyone have any ideas about how I could better monetize my ads??

Thanks!!

Hi Tim, congrats on your earnings so far! If you are worried about your articles and don't have the budget to pay a writer just yet try using the everprofits toolbar with internet explorer. It fetches keyword related content for you ie an article and you can rewrite it by adjusting the percentages ie 50% etc. I'm a bit of a fusspot myself so I use it capture research and then I just rewrite that in my own words.

I hope that this helps you.

Hi, try changing the color of the title in the code itself or delete
the code from your website and go back to google and make a
new code, one or the other should work.

The content and the layout of your website is very important,
you should try different things like write some articles about
the theme of your website and place the main one on the home
page of your website then submit other articles to ezines and
directories with the url to your website in the bio box.

Also try different size ads at the top and side where people
are most likely to click.

The free adsense videos in the link below is very helpful on how
to monetize and build adsense websites.

Hi, there are a lot of great WP themes out there
that are free but, this theme is not free but
very reasonably priced. you get 24 themes with this
package for just $27.00. If you are interested, I put
a link to the templates at the bottom of my website.

Hi Everyone, I have made changes to my website that warriors here reccomend I do. I rewrote the article on the home page, added an affiliate banner to the top and bottom of the page, added a privacy policy and a link to this template at the bottom of the page. your constructive criticism will be appereciated. Here is a link again to my first adsense website:

Hey Tim45,

good job, keep it up.

With all the varying opinions, I bet you feel like you're being pulled in a hundred directions.

I wouldn't worry too much about making each article perfect, as long as they're readable and make sense. That's not the main purpose of the site after all.

On the other hand, since it's in the medical/health arena, I'd second the recommendation for a disclaimer on each page.

All the best,

Michael

Hi Tim,

I think it looks great too. You've added the banner to your header too - a nice touch.

And I agree re adding a medical disclaimer.

After having my site that uses the same template dropped from Google a few days ago, I would strongly suggest you add the word 'advertisement' or similar under your article headings and above the article text. I'm not sure that this is what got me dropped from Google but it might be - see my site at Harmedia.com to see what I've done since then. Might give you some ideas. But I cant guarantee that I've correctly discerned what the problem was that got me dropped.

Google also removed this site from their indexes, which is a worse penalty - one you want to avoid if you possibly can.

In case you're wondering, the great big empty space at the top of the pages is where the Google ads would normally show.

Hi Gary, sorry to hear about the lose of your adsense code. Good luck getting the issue resolved with google.

Thanks for the advice on the disclaimer. Did you write your own or did you have a lawyer write it for you?

Thanks again,
Tim

I did some online research and compiled my disclaimers from what I found.

There are free sources. I think just search for something like 'free disclaimer statement'. Maybe add the word generator to that search.

BTW... I'm not saying the original template was at fault. Fact is... I simply dont know what caused my Google troubles.

You will convert best also with inline ads that mixes in with your content.

My website is now in third place for the term "understanding breast cancer treatment" on the first page of google. It is 10th on yahoo on the first page and 9th on msn on the first page, however this phrase is not bring me much traffic. I'd like your thoughts on what I can do to get more traffic.

Hi Worriors, This website has been up and running for about four months now and I'm not getting the traffic I was hoping for. Can you have a look at it and tell me what I can change or add to the site to bring in more traffic? Also I'm not getting many clicks on my adsense ads, can you tell how I can improve that as well?

Thank you,
Tim

hi,

how are you promoting the site?

Some things you could be doing:

1. posting articles to ezines and other sites to get traffic and backlinks
2. social bookmark your pages.
3. submit your RSS feed to as many sites as possible.
4. leave comments in related blogs and forums with your URL.

Are you still adding content to the site?
Give google a reason to visit your site by regularly updating your content.

have you tried moving the adsense around?

maybe try putting the link banner form the bottom of the page up to the top and move the big block so it is integrated with the text.

you could try moving the skyscraper on the left above the navigation.

hope something there gives you some ideas to get going with

I'd try moving the ad units around on the secondary pages. Move the right side ad unit up to where the nav is and move the big unit down under the content. On the secondary pages.
