Googe give me 100$ for free? Is that for real?

Hey,

I just got a letter from Google and they told me that they give me 75€ maybe around 100$ for free to my adwords/adsense account because I am fairly new to it.
I got a card with a code on it and I read the entire letter and there is no catch or something.

Did anyone of you guys get the same letter? Well, if that is for real 100$ more would be nice to test some stuff and make some money.

Just wanted to know if this is serious or just useless promotion?

Probably real, they give you free credit to get you started spending money hoping you will add more to your account.

If you think about it a bit it really does not cost them anything to do this so there really is no down side for them.

I will tell you a little trick to get more of them as well.

Create new Google business listings on Google maps. They then send you a voucher as a new business. Just keep doing it and using different Google ID's and bank accounts (bank accounts can be set up in seconds online with little outlay) and save yourself a fortune in adwords costs.

Yep!

It's part of their promotional material and they sometimes send them out to people to get them started with ppc and then a good % of people stick with it and spend even more with them!

Chances are that if you use it, you'll lik eit soo much that you'll end up spendng more....oh and yes its real. I used to get free credits between £25-£100 when I used to host sites for clients.

its real, but AFAIK you can only apply this to new accounts, you cant simply stack those coupons and apply them to existing accounts.

Since my (currently) single one ad IS NOT RUNNING ANYWAY and at "pending review" for 3+ weeks now i care actually "a lot" about adwords. (Little sarcasm/ joke here)

Yes, this is real. In fact, to Google, this $100 is just a tiny drop in the ocean for them. What they hope is for you to start using their Adwords with this $100 and make money. Hopefully, you're able to make money with the $100 voucher and continue using them and that's what this $100 is for. Rope you in as a new customer and profit in the long term.

Just marketing expenses for them. Standard business practice.

It is real. I got one, set a campaign and burned through the $100 in two weeks. You have to monitor your usage because they will automatically bill the card that you require you to use to set up the account. They also charge a $5 setup free to make sure the credit card works.

Read the fine print on the bottom. The promotion is real but usually for new adwords customers. In order words you can't already have an account with them.

I just received a valentine's day card from Google in the mail that offered me a $100 as well. I already have an account so I can't take advantage of it (unless I create a new account that is)
