Hi I'm starting to feel a bit overwhelmed this week. It seems for a begginer in article marketing you have to be really stubborn and persistant. It's taken me sooo long to learn how to do what I've learned(I came into this not knowing very much at all). It's been a week of problems. My squidoo links aren't indexing at all, my hubpages were so I focused my energy on hubpages then today when I viewed my hubpags articles I found out that these backlinks to my site were nofollow!!!! Am I being stupid and missing something obvious? Do people use hubpages purely for seo backlinks or do they use hubpages to get people coming to their site? |

Once you get 'votes' for your hubpage then it turn's into do-follow! I think it's a score of 60 and then it's do follow ![]() Mark Blaze |

Yep, just to confirm that they are no longer nofollow. It's easy to get it to that point, just added a profile pic, a new hub and commented on a couple of posts.

Good info on increasing a hub score. I know HP can be a little touchy sometimes.

additional question, please? say I created content and submitted it to several article directories, including ezinearticles, is it okay to put it up in hubpages too? i've been seeing the word "duplicate" in my hubpages, and I don't know if that's negatively impacting my account. thanks. |

I recently started building hubpages. You need your hubber score above 75 and hub score above 40 or 50. Here is the best tip that I ever received. When you build a hub, do not publish it right away. Publish it a week after you start it. The score will be above 50. Also, check out Google Trends to see what is being searched for right now. Then go and see what the competition looks like and do a bit of keyword research on your chosen topic. Build a good quality hub and get it indexed quick. |

Thanks for the Hubpages information. But how about squidoo? I noticed those were nofollow as well.

if you want to get strong Hubpage dofollowback link then you have to exceed the score more than 75, then you can get dofollow backlink.

They have been no followed for quite some time now...However, google will still see that you get links from them...so although they publically say it is not counted, I still think they use them somehow..Again there is no real proof for this but my gut feeling..

How about if you make a comment on someones Hub page and put your URL, does that give you a dofollow or nofollow backlink?

has anyone else seen hubpages gone in and started to look at your old hubs for outbound links? they are on a war path on my old hubs that have no updates or changes in months if not years and started to unpublish them because they are linked to capture pages. WTF!!!! I can't even get an outbound link to my blog anymore. I've had to redirect to my link wheel which is stupid. I'm really thinking about abandoning this in exchange for other high authority sites. |

Yes, hubpages is 75 to be dofollow. Always been that way. Post high 10 quality hubs, spend an hour a month leaving comments and a few links back to yours. Interlink your hubs and you will be fine. Should be 75 forever. |

| Best bet would be to get yourself an English person to help you with your articles... Like you write them in English as best you can then have someone who knows English well flesh out the article... This is a good way to help you learn how to effectively write in English.. and over time you will be able to write your own articles without help because you are still practicing yourself... Just a thought

Yes, your Hub score needs to be at least 75. The problem is that the Hub score keeps varying: one day you have, say, 78; the other day you have 62 for example. So your links one day are do-follow, the other day are no-follow. ![]() I have 4 hubs published, but I gave up. I won't waste my time publishing other hubs. |

I have about 30 up and my hubscore never falls below 89 and is usually above 93. Edit: 34 hubs published. Current Author Score is 94. Traffic is approx 550 visitors/day. Average hubscore is 80. | |
