Default How do I alternate anchor text PROPERLY?

I want to build profile links and article submissions across hundreds of sites but.... but the only thing is that I'm not sure what percentage of my links built should use my main keyword and what percent should use my 1 or 2 alternates? I am most concerned about one keyword but at the same time want my links varied. What is your advice on this?

Thanks!

This is what I do.

I have no magic reason for it. It is what I do.

I have one killer keyword that I really want to rank for because of the search/competition profile.

I also have 4 other good keywords that are nearly as good and I want to rank well for.

50% of my links will have the main "must have" keyword as the anchor text.

The other 50% anchor text will share the other 4 keywords evenly between them

hope that helps

Do you think there is this magic formula somewhere that tells you exactly what to feed Google?

Seriously, think about that. And even if there would it wouldn't matter because Search Engines are CONSTANTLY CHANGING.

I don't alternate. There are always links that won't allow your anchor text, so there you go, get those too. The ones that say "homepage" or "WWW" or "click here".

Does that answer your question?

Much of what I do in regard to IM seems to offer spots for 2 links, be that article, video or profile linking.

I link back to my main keyword on one link and use the other anchor text link for a less important term, much of the time attached to an inner page of the site.

If you need to resort to alternate links, then perhaps your SEO plan is deficient.

I would redraw my plans.
