Just some questions about backlinks

Good day everyone, This is my question: I have almost all my sites in french and have acess to more authority sites in english than in french. Can I link to Authority sites in english to rank good even when they are in french? Thanks in advance.

Whatever you use for your anchor text is what you will rank for in the search engines.

That's fascinating. If it is then I am going to get me some English posts with the right Anchors.

I thought they only counted for PR (the foreign links).

My understand is that Google isn't splitting the web up by country, or language for that matter. A quality high PR link is a quality high PR link no matter the language, or topic.

At least that has been my experience thus far.

Yep, authority is authority, no matter what geographical region it comes from.

The only thing you might want to consider is that if you put a link on an English-language site, but the anchor text is in French, it will look weird at best, and potentially spammy at worst.

Not a huge issue, but something to keep in mind.

yes it doesnt matter wt language u r using..matter only on what keyword u r promoting your site

The important thing is the Anchor Text you use in your backlinks. No matter what type of place you are placing your link if you concentrate on one anchor text, ultimately you will achieve good rankings for that keyword.

It may be sites which use different kind of language like what you mention in your post. But it doesn't matter as far as you focus on one anchor text.

Links surrounded by keyword stuffed spam content, links placed along with hundreds of other irrelevant links etc can harm your site badly!..its called as devaluation due to bad neighborhood.

Irrelevant High Pr backlink - Only Page rank
Authority backlink - Trust rank + bit help in search rankings
Anchor text backlink - Medium help Search rankings
Backlink surrounded with Relevant content - Great help in Search rankings

If you could more than one or all the above then its best!

Of course backlinks from English sites will help for French sites...as far as they are authority sites and you are able to use desired anchor texts...though not as good as relevancy factor would have caused.

Language would have played a role if you were to rank well in google.fr with English site and had links from French sites.
