Hi guys I just finished my first niche wordpress blog targeting really low competition keywords. I've noticed that the title of my blog along with the title of each post is nofollow. However, I'm also pretty sure that in the past I have read many a time that you should name your post and your blog something to do with the keyword you're targeting. Do you recommend I change my blog and post title to something a lot more natural sounding that doesn't use the keyword then, just in case overuse of the keyword becomes a bit of an issue for google. It is a naturally written post, sounds really good except where i've put the keywords in, i'm still getting used to smoothly adding this stuff. The article is five pages of unique content personally written by me in an area i have a lot of experience in. its a self help how to article. i have various affiliate links in to different products throughout the main post. Would you recommend adding photo's to it as well? Has this been proven to add to the attractiveness of a site and then get more purchases? Finally, I have some software that helps me submit directory links and bookmarks slowly over time. It also has an option for you to add your rss url to submit your rss feed to various different rss feed websites. My website is a wordpress template but it is my own URL. I'm sorry if this sounds dumb and stupid but how do i get a url for my rss feed? i've never used rss in the past. cheers anybody who answers this it'll really be a big help. thanks |

Hi. Its fine to use your keyword in your post title and page title and I would strongly recommend the all in seo pack plugin for Wordpress. Also make sure you change your perma links to a custom setting like /%postname% you may need to Google that to make sure I got it right as I just typed it at the top of my head. Its entirely up to you if you feel that images will compliment your blog, if you do add images make sure you use your keywords as the alt text. If your using Wordpress your feed address should be mywesite.com/feed Hope that helps. Dave d |

Thanks for the reply dave all in one seo pack downloading now. permalinks are new to me but i've changed it to postname you were right i think thanks for that! If i edit my post slightly here and there or add a little bit or change my postname around a little bit in the future is that likely to effect the SERPS very negatively? thanks dave Quote:
