Default Linking back to EZA articles

I want to expand my article marketing with links back to EZA articles to strenghten SERPs. I have it in the back of my head that there was something special with EZA articles and linking to them, i dont remember what it was. Just to make sure.

I would simply link back like

http://www. ezinearticles.com/?How-to-Lose-10-Pounds-in-a-Week---Things-You-Need-to-Know!&id=3511834

with KW in anchor?

The funny thing is that for those articles with thousands of views i dont find ANY backlinks in Google

other, related question:

Starting with a massive backlink campaign where i want to use "2nd rate" article directories to backlink to EZA articles.

Does it make sense to backlink to OLDER articles on EZA also which are not ranking that great in SERPs...or rather focus and build backlinks for the ones which are newly submitted?

I am asking because me and my writers combined have like a zillion of articles on EZA and each week more are submitted......and the question now is to which one to prioritize for backlinking efforts.

The fact that there are that many articles is actually a problem, i am totally losing overview over hits/SERPs..which rank well and which not. Add the fact that i have multiple writers...its a fricking PAIN!!

I am thinking about writing some statistics software maybe which can pull articles and give SERPs and hits reports...the analytics on EZA simply dont cut it. Such a software would enable to prioritize which articles to strengthen, IMHO.

(It goes even farther..i was "fantasizing" about a software which can pull my EZA articles (by author name)....replace links (keyword -> EZA link)....and re-submit those articles to the other article directories..all automatically...)

Not to derail your thread, but...

I haven't found a way to check the links pointing to an EZA article, even when I know there are links. There's something goofy about EZA's link structure that breaks the Yahoo site explorer.

So, just because it seems like there are no links pointing to an EZA article doesn't mean that there aren't.

George,

I hope this thread takes off because I've been wondering the same thing. One keyword I have that deals with six pack abs gets 600 views per month and is number one on google. However, other keywords I've tried to get ranked for don't do anything for me. This is why I'd also like to know about back linking to my articles.

Or...

Maybe I should just be smart and link all of the articles to a page on my site that is geared towards the keyword. Then under the article you could put in the squeeze page. That would be the smarter but more work involved approach. I know Ezine wants me to take the lazy way and build their brand.
