I mean, you are going to left your links on the some blogs that don't have any similarity with your blog, is that a valid backlink? Or you are looking just to get any backlink?

Aren't Wordpress blogs nofollow by default anyway?

Now you have to deal with spamming or admin approval, which means your comment will never be approved.

A new list of URL's to reverse engineer.

If you've got closely guarded niches & keywords be careful about commenting on blogs shared publicly. Especially on a forum. You'll have plenty of people trying to reverse engineer your sites & backlinks.

Scrapebox has an add-on that can scan Wordpress blogs and tell you if they're dofollow / nofollow. (it's about 80% accurate in my experience.)

It's got a different add-on that will check the status of your link. (On an auto approve blog, for example.)

Waste of time IMHO - spamming with irrelevant backlinks will not benefit you at all. On the contrary, it will probably backfire ...
