How long does it take after crawling to index a site?

I wanted to know if there will be a significant delay, after your site is crawled, to be indexed?

I find it usually takes a week, but it can be up to two.

It can take less than a day up to a week usually. Did you do any of the following to expedite the process

- add your site to Google Webmaster and submit a sitemap
- submit your RSS Feed to RSS Directories
- Ping your site
- Social Bookmark it
- Submit it to Directories

I'm sure I am missing one or two things but the above is the minimum I do to start the indexing process

Usually a couple of days to a week. But in some cases A LOT less time.

If it is a brand new domain that never been indexed before. You might have to wait a couple of weeks.

If you have several pages indexed already you can add it to your sitemap page. Then submit to social bookmarks and it should be in a day or two.

If you have an active blog it will be indexed in 10 minutes.

I have experienced 2 very different cases with brand new domains registered a day apart. Both are TLDs with 1 page of 300 words.

First was indexed within 12 hours with NO backlinks or bookmarking, the second took a week after some backlinking and bookmarking.

i submitted a very niche article to goarticles. the highest competion for the keyword had two articles. i have already backlinked, my backlinks got indexed straight away but my goarticles article hasnt been indexed. this is frustrating because goarticles allows affiliate links and this is integral to what i'm doing.

any ideas as to why this may be?

GoArticles takes a while to show up!

Chances are that its probably already indexed but just not showing up! It normally takes abtou a week or so!

Did you search for the url with and without the http:// ?
Weird, but sometimes you'll find it indexed in search without it.

In my experience Google takes one week or one month for crawl a web page.
