Default should i dare try to skip my ppc squeeze page?

I have always used squeeze pages for ppc campaigns as someone long ago told me and it's constantly said that's necessary, but i've seen plenty of people running straight to offer, mostly clickbank, through ppc. Are these newbies that will eventually be shut down? Anyone with any experience with this, good or bad?

I guess the one's that send the visitor straight to an offer page aren't trying to build a list, or they are in a niche that , for someunknown reason, people doen't like to sign up for lists..

My advice is try it, (do a split test) and see which one makes you more money..

Personally, I've never liked squeeze pages. If I search for something and click an ad or a natural link, I want to be told about the product right away, not asked for my email for the privilege to learn about your product.

Google too doesn't like them: "Advertising is not permitted for sites collecting sensitive personal information. Examples of personal information include email addresses".
Do it and you may get a poor landing page quality.

Why would they be?
There seems to be the notion out there that you can't direct link. Not sure where it comes from but it's totally wrong. In fact, it's what you should do.

I understand the reason for collecting emails. But most PPC engines don't like them, poor user experience. Besides, if you spend money to get visitors and 30% sign up, 70% of them have not seen your sales pitch. So skip your squeeze page, you might be pleasantly surprised.
