Lightbulb Role of SEO in Performance Marketing

Off late the concept of Business to Business/Consumer Marketing has taken centre stage as far as lead generation & Goal Conversions are concerned. Brand building is another important aspect that has been the area of focus on the web. The idea to reach out to as many people and in the process generate sales by turning potential users into guaranteed customers has given rise to the term “Performance Marketing”, wherein a vendor (termed affiliate) is paid a compensation when he generates a lead or successfully completes a goal conversion for a client concerned.

SEO or Search Engine Optimization is a set of tips and techniques that ensures that your website features in the SERP’s (Search Engine Result Pages), of major Search Engines when a term that is related to your business is being searched for. The higher the position acquired the better chances of getting a click or a visit.

Internet marketing primarily consists of 4 major channels. Affiliate Marketing, Pay- per click marketing, Viral Marketing & Organic Search Marketing (SEO). SEO is the most cost effective method utilized to ensure sales & conversions from your website. Unlike other channels where you are made to pay for a service, this is free & manual. Off-course as the saying goes “Content is King”, if proper measures are taken then there lies every chance of a goal conversion. It could a sale from an e-commerce website or a sign in request form from a service provider. Getting your links to appear in as many social networking websites with a catchy/appealing topic would also help to increase your visitor rate.

A good navigation, complemented by content through intelligent promotion, does guarantee success in B2B or B2C marketing.
