I've try arelis, seo elite , linkexcange dot net , but the result was not good.

Could you tell me a directory of sites that want to link back but not from a link page but from home page. I mean that if I put their link on my home page they will put my link on their home page.

It is very hard to find sites that want to link back from their home page and that's why I'm asking you.

take a look at your niche and some of the most important keywords in it the massive ones. Then go look and see how the people on the first page got their links. See who is linking to them.

Put quality content on your website, and then broadcast that content on highly trafficked web 2.0 properties. This is a general fast way to get links.

There's tons of ways to get links. Social bookmark your sites for one. I use a backlink service for another.

Another method I just started using is go to Google and Google website value. You will get a list of sites that estimate the value of your website. You get a link when you do that. I did it to one of my sites today that was at the bottom of page 3 for my keyword and within hours it was at the top of page two for the keyword. I'm still working on it to get to page one.

tried and true, write a bucket load of unique 400 word articles and submit them to (slow as a wet week) Ezine articles. The big benefit is the scrapers and syndicaters that pick up your content and (mostly) keep your link in it.

In most cases, the home page is the prime real estate of a sight. The number of sites that will allow you to get a link on their home page is minimal at best. If they did allow such links, then their home page would quickly turn out to be just a link page, and that is not somthing that most web masters want.

Do what most people do; get Angela's or Paul's or the one that I subscribe to Steve Heron's back link lists, plus there are more offered in the WSO forum. These are just the three that I remember off the top of my head. They are all very cheap, and give full instructions and the OP will answer questions if you hve trouble. I outsourced my back link work.

Profile links, forum signatures, and blog posting are the most popular I think. Plus you can post your links on numerous directories. That is what works for most people, you can make it work for you too. It will be a lot easier than finding a site that will allow you to post on their home page. And I seriously doubt that any site that allowed you to put your link on the home page would have any page rank, whereas the lists I mention will get you links on sites that have high page rank. And remember, quality will always win over quantity.

Dofollow blogs with high internal pagerank is the easiest way. You need to find a blog in your niche, index the website for all internal pages, get the pagerank of those pages and make sure they are dofollow. You can get some good dofollow blog finders.

OK, here is a way to get back links to your pages. Create a group of images. It can be windows icons. Tell people that the icons are free to use. However, they must put a link back to your main page. This way you get more back links and traffic to your main page. There are many template sites using this way. CAUTION, goog hates this and they might try to get people to nofollow the links. If they use your icons the links MUST be dofollow or they do not help you.

There are a few really easy methods for getting backlinks.

Backlinks are best when they are high authority, high page rank websites. People say they need to be relevant, but that's false in my opinion, I think link juice carries regardless of content. More importantly, they must be added over time. 100 backlinks in an hour will send off red flags sometimes and get you sandboxed, while 100 over a month is most likely fine.

You can purchase a backlink packet from Angela Edwards, they're $5/month and include 30 websites where you can add backlinks. I normally add 2-4 per website profile.

You can also pay for backlinks through WarriorsForHire and some WSOs.

For free, you can use onlywire.com or socialmarker.com and make accounts at those and socially bookmark them.

They do go hand in hand but not one or the other. New sites or sites that are not ranking where they can get viewers often need a jumpstart that leads to bigger and better things. On the subject of content I agree but I dont' think that it is written content.


Now you need applications, videos, downloadables and resources that help people. Written content of course gets some links but look even through these forums. How often do you see people link in their forum posts to articles compared to how many links you see to software, social networks, online applications etc.


text and images will always be with us but people are not dazzled enough to link to written content like they used to be.

Unique, authoritative content is king. You have to ask yourself, would you honestly forward your web content to a friend?

Google loves links that are earned. They have no pattern. Link submission programs always have patterns. Google is good at finding patterns...

From a technical perspective links have way more value if the Title text of the page has relevance to the anchor text you're optimizing for. So links about car insurance on a cooking website tend not to have a ton of value...

You don't want all your links to your site to have the same link text. It's unnatural in Google's eyes and you could be removed from the search engine results

Backlinks can be attained in several ways:

1. By Request: You could email a webmaster and ask him to add a link to his site in exchange for a link from your site to his. The problem with this is that this means spending a lot of time waiting on email responses. The other thing is that Google tends not to value backlinks when they are reciprocal (one-to-one) like this.
2. Doing it Manually: Join message boards and forums all over the web and insert links to your website within a post (and hope it won't be marked as spam and removed).
3. Directory Submission: Submit your websites to sites that store URLs from around the web (Boring, very tedious, and slow. You could wait 6 months to see results from this).
4. Article Submission: Write 300-400 word articles, submit them to sites like Ezinearticles, and hope they will get approved (very time-consuming).
5. You can pay an expensive backlinking service to build links to your site. This is very expensive. For example, BacklinksAutomation.com charges $67 a month for 300 backlinks to 5 different URLs, which is 60 backlinks for each of 5 URLs. So, for 300 backlinks per month,would be paying $67 a month. (Instead, you could pay $47 a month for 750 backlinks

The methods above are tedious and they require a lot of work. It takes a lot of time to write tens of articles and to post dozens of links on forums, hoping that they will be not be marked as spam and deleted, losing your credit for the Google backlink. Definitely do some article writing, for example on EzineArticles.com, but you will need more in order to rank high in Google.

One of the most overlooked methods is just continually adding original content to your blog.

I have a blog that gets about 300 uniques per day and is spidered by Google tens of thousands of times per month.

Originally, when I set the blog up I used a directory submitter, a bookmarking submitter and rss submitter.

After that, it was strictly hands off (the content is submitted automatically from UAW).

I spend a couple minutes a day checking to make sure the articles are appropriate. It is a pain in the neck but both easier and cheaper than writing or paying for articles.

I completely agree with Jeremy. This is what a successful linkbaiting is. You create a content so rich with information and knowledge that people automatically connect themselves with. This is the most natural way of getting backlinks, without exchanging with anyone.

I don't like to be cynical but How about you check older threads and you start learning SEO the right way from many learning sources? The best tools in the world won't help you if you don't know how to use them and if you don't know even basics of SEO (which is clearly the case) than you can hardly use them properly. I recommend you read some SEO books than you can create your own LB strategy with many LB methods. Directories, Forums, Social Bookmarking, Press Releases, Article Marketing, Profiles, Web 2.0, Linkwheels, Guest Posting, Blog Commenting, Videos, Link Exchange, Link Bait, Link buying, Reviews, Testimonials, Widgets, RSS, domain buying, classifieds etc.
Each of these LB methods can be done right or wrong way so it takes time to learn each method properly.

I wouldn't say that, some directories are worthwhile. For example DMOZ, BOTW, Joeant, Go Guides and the Yahoo Directory are all worth applying to if you have the money. Really you have to look at the types of websites the directory accepts.

If they just accept anyone who applies then it's a worthless directory, however if they are more stringent and only accept quality sites then they're worth applying to.

The problem is that the majority of directories are pretty poor. Just hit up the "big boys" I mentioned above, some respected directories in your niche and leave it at that.
