Clever way to get your new website indexed fast

I was having trouble getting my new website indexed, but I remembered something I had observed not too long ago and I tried an experiment. It worked.

It goes like this:

1. Find a high-PR blog that uses the Top Commentator plug - the one I used was PR 6.

2. On the comment form, fill in your name, email address, and URL to your new website. That makes your name the anchor text to a link.

3. Post enough comments to get on the Top Commentator list. This places a text link to your website on the front page of the blog.

If the blog is high enough PR, Google spiders it frequently. When they spider it, the link will assist them in finding and indexing your website.

In my case, I became a Top Commentator by late afternoon and my site was indexed by the evening.

The Top Commentator plugin on this particular site resets the list to zero at the beginning of each week, so to stay on the list you have to keep commenting. But for the purpose of getting your blog indexed, it's completed it's task. Plus the comments you made are still recorded as links from a high PR website.

My next experiment will be to see if I can use the same technique to get an existing website recached in Google - I'm having that problem with one of my sites.

First of all, try not to spam blogs just to get on there top commentators list.

However, if the blog is a do follow blog, which is some what rare, but not unheard of, why not use a long tail keyword instead of your name, that way you can start ranking this new site for keywords. That is the essence of building links though blog comments. But again, remember to add valuable content in your comments, do not just type something like "This is a really good post, please visit me site". Because if I was the owner of the blog, I wouldn't approve it.

Onlywire does work very well and quick is the name of the game! Pingler is a good quick way too.

yes, I'd have to say pinging your site or putting it into the adwords keyword tool are both fast ways to get your site indexed

This does work to get you indexed fast. However, for my efforts, I prefer to get backlinks
that are more permanent by posting comments that don't expire every week. One thing that is important to know is if the blog you are posting to has a nofollow tag in it. If it does, the search engines won't pick your post up. Easy way to find out: go to the blogs main page, check the source code, search for nofollow using the find function.

Now you need links to the blog.

Getting indexed is good, but whats the use of it if your site is burried 170 pages in google? none!

As I said, this was limited to getting it indexed. Getting it to rank high in SERPS is a different matter altogether.

I have pinged my site and works great. I agree with NOT over commenting on blogs. A lot of blog owners can see it as a spam comment and can accuse you of this practice. In addition, Google can see it this way and can place your site in their "BAN from Indexing" category. I had to work with someone who went through something similar.

I see this as 3 issues:

1. Getting indexed fast.
2. Getting a high ranking.
3. Keeping the high ranking.

If you keep getting links by methods such as this - preferably where you don't have to keep spending time each month because the Top Commentators has reset - that is pretty much it in my book. It works.

One of the problems with Top Commentators links is the damage from link removal.

While Google, et al., values getting more links, and high PR links, there is the flip-side as well. Getting penalized because an authority site has removed your links. Here, the removal of a high PR home page link is because the Top Commentators list has reset.

If you want your sites to be indexed fast in search engines then you just need to bookmark your sites on high social bookmarking sites like digg,reddit etc.
