| Googles PPC Effectiveness Is It Best Paid Method For Building Email List? I concentrate most of my traffic generation methods on free marketing techniques. Article marketing, blog commenting, seo etc..... I do use a couple paid techniques once in a while I recently posted a WSO on this forum, I use paid classified ads, and I have used PPC on a few occasions. My question: Is Google adwords the most effective way to build up an Email list faster? I know it depends on the keywords you go after and the cost per click. But overall is this the best paid method out there where you get the best bang for your buck? What works the best for you? |

In my opinion there is no "best method", all the advertising method can give you a huge ROI and build your list if you do them correctly. I have gotten awesome returns from advertising banner ads on some top blogs. Or sending out the right type of solo ad to a paid list. Personally I think PPC can be a huge money sucker if you don't know what you are doing. Make sure that you start out small and always be split testing the ads to see what works.

I figure ppc boils down to this if you can find a targeted phrase related to your niche for say .10 a click look for the hidden goldmines. I cant see how you cannot get a good return on investment if your keyword phrase meets these criteria. And your just looking to build a list. But you are very right ray that their are tons of other effective ways out there. Its just finding it thats the hard part!

Like others have said, you need to test and track everything to make sure your getting your money's worth. And you need to decide just how valuable each person on your list is going to be. Try some software like prosper 202 for tracking. Cheers |

| PPC can be a great way to build a list, just make sure you read and understand Googles TOS before you send traffic to an optin page. They have been on a rampage banning accounts. Lance |

a key costing .20c with a 4% conversion will cost you $5 per sign up (.20 *100 / 4) or even though twice as expensive will incur a 50% savings on sign up costs. [example numbers only] | |

The models taught by some gurus using ppc traffic will offer a moderate cost ebook on the squeeze page that with luck, pays off the ppc bill, without this cost offset, the cost of your captured emails can be a bit high. I believe the most common list building technique involves giving away a report of some kind consisting of 10 to 20 pages of genuinely useful information to those who provide their email address in order to receive the report. The specific interest of the subscribers to this email list is defined by the title of this initial offering. |

Yes. PPC with a Squeeze page is the quickest and most effective way to deliver quality traffic and build a pre-qualified list.

For me it really depends on the niche. PPC can be a good way to build a list, but buying advertising space that is not CPM works out really well if done right. Take a look at the main keywords in your niche. Type them into Google and pick out the top 5 sites for that keyword and make a note of them. Once you have a fair collection of them, check them out and email them asking whether they offer advertising space. Sometimes you can get a banner for $15 a month that brings in 5 - 10 (sometimes more) sign ups a day. If they say no, ask them if you can "guest blog" for them in return for a link back to your site. This can be pretty effective if done right. Once again, this won't work for every niche, but it works for quite a few and its a pretty cost effective way of building your list. |
