Default Conversion Tracking - What Do PPC Referrer Strings Look Like?

Hi Everyone,

I'm testing a WP plugin for tracking click-through and conversion rates to CB offers. It's working really well for organic traffic and I would like to support PPC too.

Thing is there are so many PPC networks and I haven't a lot of PPC experience. The software currently uses the referrer string to track the keywords or article etc where the visitor came from.

My question is what does the referrer string look like when a visitor lands from PPC? Is it like a search engine referrer string with a q=keyword or query=keyword parameter?

The tracking flow currently looks like this:

SE or Article --> Landing Page (Optional) --> Short Link --> Affiliate Link --> Vendor Sales Page --> CB INS (closes loop)

Is anyone willing to share some referrer string examples (minus real keywords of course) from PPC networks so I can look at integrating them into this software?

What are your thoughts on this?

Phil

Phil a little lost but in CB they have already built in tracking (see your settings in CB) for google adwords and Yahoo adwords, these conversions will be seen in the respective ppc software / stats.
