Hi Folks, I started up an online marketing and SEO company with a friend and we're having a great time, finding new clients and doing some work for them. However, one of my business partner's relatives from Australia got in touch asking us to do a website. No problem we said. She then asked if we could get her to the top of Google in Australia (we're based in the UK). Now, for the search terms she would be targeting, the top results are yahoo local. So we'd start by doing a yahoo local listing, and a google one as well. We could build some back links as well, but does anyone have any advice on how to see Australian Google results from over here in the UK? Essentially we want to measure our results in the Australian SERP's. One thought I had was to use the Google Webmaster tools to collect data on our performance in Google over there. But would be open to any advice? Cheers Alex |

I'm in the states and I have a client that's in the UK. I'm doing the same type of off-page work and helped him w/ on-page optimization. It's really the same - except I have to go to google UK and select the UK pages to see where he is ranked. Funny thing - in the first month - I got him on the first page. And his is a new site as well. |

You can track the keywords using Google.com.au . If I want to search the pages from Australia, then I do it using Google.com.au. I could get relevant information what I am searching for.

You can go to google.com.au and check the keywords ranking for Australia from the UK. You can also check the ranking from the tools which have these options to check the ranking.

Easiest two ways that I know of are to double check using both google.com.au and double check with Market Samurai. Pretty sure that there is an option that allows you to check what country you are getting results from. I generally find that results differ between the two, regardless of the country though. Oh, and always make sure that you sign out before you check. |

Guys, this thread is over a year old and has been defunct for just as long. zita123 just dug it up to increase his/her post count and promote his/her sig-links. ![]() Just saying. |

Go to Google.com.au or add '&pws=0&gl=au' to the end of your Google search URL. or go to google.com/adpreview and enter the targeted location. ... there are many more options. |
