I have check some blog page that has 1 RANK on google for competitive keyword, this page has NOT a lot of backlinks, and it is NOT have many high PR backlinks, even the backlinks is not relevant with the niche of this page, but I see somethings interesting for me as a newbie, this blog has IP "74.125.95.121" which is (United States Mountain View Google Inc) and the name server that this blog use is like this : NameServer: NS1.GOOGLE.COM NameServer: NS2.GOOGLE.COM NameServer: NS3.GOOGLE.COM NameServer: NS4.GOOGLE.COM MY QUESTION IS, DOES GOOGLE SERVER EFFECT ON SEO? |

(not sure what the GOOGLE SERVER EFFECT reference is about) The only domain and hosting factors I have heard to effect search ranking are: The physical location of the file host seems to effect location specific searches, a for san fransiaco might match a site hosted in CA, before one hosted in turkey. Domain names that have been purchased for multiple years are said to rank better than a 1 year buy. Confidential domain name registration (concealing ownership) might be a negative factor. |

In a word no. The competing links must have worse relevancy and PR, simple as that. |
