What is the best way to use links like this, say for instance we have a link back to our website with the link text being "1" Would the best idea to use some sort of page on our site to collect the PR, and then link to our main page using our search term? Thanks for your time, Net. |

The very next important pages after the homepage should be linked to the hompage with a proper anchor text for it

It's natural to have backlinks that are not keyword anchored so having some links like that is actually a good thing. You don't want all of your links to have your keywords in them because then it is obvious you manually built all of them. You'll still get the link juice and credit from the backlink, it just won't help your rankings much.

Yes you can get some backlinks like this too but always proper anchor text will improve rankings for particular keywords(recommended)

well if most of your backlinks have keywords and only a few of them are unrelated I wouldn't worry as it looks "natural" however if most of the links are unrelated then yeah I would build a page to "gather" the link juice and then I would link to my home page from that "landing page" using a relevant keyword
