Kevin, it's all about finding a good balance using all of those criteria. Search volume (exact match), intitle results, lowish or none targeted anchors used in the top sites backlinks etc. With software it's quick and easy to filter the list down to those 'golden' few by setting the threshold for each one.

What are you actually doing for link building now apart from creating profile pages?

Hi Warriors, I hope you all had a good weekend?

This may be slightly off topic so I'll post it here and also start another thread with it as well - I hope that's within the rules? Here goes!

I just did a search under my keywords ''make money online'' and got nowhere out of 1,000. Then I did a search on my ''company'' name of kewcotrading (no spaces) and got the number one spot on page one of Google for my Twitter profile page. Also I was in every position on the next ten pages of the search results (I stopped checking every page after page ten but a random check showed I was on further pages also) - all for third party sites with a link to my Twitter page or one of the two website pages I'm currently promoting.

I'm not sure how good this is (I need some time to figure it all out), but I was wondering if you or anyone else could advise me on how I might exploit it (if at all) in order to drive more traffic to my site and get sign ups to list, conversions and sales?

Many thanks again.

Regards, Kevin.

Try market samurai, you get better ideas about it. I've tried this and it did not seem to work very good - but perhaps I'm using it wrong!?

Here is a gold keyword for your, it's amazon product - dotti's weight loss zone. I cannot find this on Amazon and in a Google search it brings up the following site: http://www.dwlz.com/ - how would I monetize this?

Searches (Exact): 79 / day
Phrase Competition: 8400+
Allintitle Competition: 303

When I do these searches in Google search engine (http://www.google.co.uk/) I get much bigger figures - 18,700 for Phrase Competition and also for Allintitle: searches!!

If you write a SEO optimize article and submit to ezinearticles, it will be on page 1 without any backlinks! I'd love to do this but my figures don't match your so could you confirm I'm doing the above correctly please?

Can we Skype or Google Talk over this as I'm getting confused now?

Kok Choon

Hi Kok and thanks again, please see above in blue. Could you also address my other points I raised in the message before this one please as there were a few you missed?

Regards, Kevin.

Which software would you recommend -priced and free!

What are you actually doing for link building now apart from creating profile pages? I'm building backlinks (Angela's packets), setting up link wheels, links from my Twitter profile and tweets, etc.; Viviastreet, Gumtree and Inetgiant (all three for free ads); Google Adwords; various blogs; e-zine articles; my websites; SEO; Facebook; banner ads/impressions; various fora; The Viral Secret; You Tube; Traffic Geyser; safe lists; Skype; mailing lists; The Huge List Building Secret; Viral Submitter; Submitwolf; Turn-Key Marketing Group and The Inner Circle; Free WSO’s; contests and competitions; mailing lists and e-mail campaigns; search engine submissions; link lists; etc, etc, etc

Is this enough?

Hi Any, thanks for this. Please see in blue above.

Just an example, btw dottie's weight loss zine is not amazon product, I forgot to correct it when I try to posts.

I think I've show enough here.

I don't see any value to "snot gobblers" ... at least both UK and USA keyword tools doesn't show enough searches.

I believe you received a lot of valuable information from your fellow warriors. They are spot on when they say try a less competitve keyword and go for a long tail KW of about 4 words. I have client that wanted to be ranked for earn money at home and was able to get his website to the first page of Google and Yahoo using Article submissions, Directory submissions, social bookmarking, link wheel (Open), A great amount of blog commenting, Angela packets and Pauls packets. This took about three months to acheive. However, you have to keep working at even if you do get it to the first page otherwise it will drop very quickly. His kw brought him a lot of other broad search terms using that kw and traffic. Hope this helps...

Long tail keywords are king. Plus, visitors just love it when they type a "how to" phrase in the search and your site pops up. You have gained a customer for life.

Ive just downloaded a free trial of Market Samurai.Played about with it for about 1/2 an hour + then decided to follow the instructions at Noble Samurai dojo. Wow, its like someone switched the light on!
Im only on lesson 2 + the penny has dropped. Ive basically wasted the last 3 years fumbling around, lost in the dark.
Kevin, even if you dont buy the product - at £70 you would be mad not to- the instruction supplied on keyword research is invaluable.
Added to the extremely valuable + free information from other Warriors, what a fantastic thread for anyone like us starting out.
