the simplest and the only way to get high rank (updated and explained)

most of the webmasters and bloggers spend a lot of time to search and read that how to get a high rank in search engines.

after a lot of reading experience for SEO i came to a point with only a single way to get high rank.

don't spend a lot of money in having seo services form others just do one thing, (i assume your already have a site with your main keyword decided)

find a single i repeat single site with a pr 6 in your niche or a single pr 7 in any niche contact the administrator of that site to post a link with an anchor text on his site, you may offer any thing in return, it may bemoney or anything, i know it may charge a little more then you are thinking but belive me that is enough, i have tried it and i guarantee you its enough. try it.


i don't know that why people consider commenting on PR 9 blog gives them a direct PR 9 backlink???

and reference to my reply on comment 37 that comment page is an individual page framed by iframe or and other HTML code to the home page or any other high pr page so commenting can't be that effective as people consider it, though it might help in getting noticed by search engines
please verify; go to any site view its comment page PR and then think, it is lot more different then a direct PR 9 backlink with a keyword as an anchor text. same as on the article pages, i accept it is really useful but it is not a high pr page.

ok to prove this i started a blog on feb 1st 2010 almost 2 months ago an got a link of a PR 7 site, it was just a single link and got PR of 2 in just 1 month and 15 days. would you believe it?? you can verify it

yes if you want to rank high with your main keyword a single bavklink with PR 6 or high can do every thing for you, you can see results in weeks, i can say in days of backlink activation

I agree 100%. Backlinks with your main keyword in its anchor text on high PR sites is what gets you a high ranking. Sometimes you will need a few of those backlinks for a high ranking.

But here we have it: 90% of a high organic ranking is one way links to your site with the main keyword in its anchor text. Nothing else!

High PR Backlinks help..a lot, but they are not the only thing.
On-site content doesn't hurt when relevant to your site.
So does submitting your RSS feeds and pinging them.
So does video marketing.
So does article marketing.
So does direct marketing (offline).
So does submitting products to Google Merchant Center.
So does email marketing.
So does fresh content produced regularly.
Low PR Backlinks help too.

I don't need to try it out, I already get High PR backlinks and agree they work. If you are looking to jump in and usurp a keyword like for a just released affiliate offer what you are recommending may be adequate. If you are in a niche for the long haul you need to work a bit harder else you are easy pickings for the next guy who does 5% more.

Nothing says 'STAY AWAY FROM MY NICHE' better than 5,000 backlinks, video marketing, article marketing, google base, guest posters, and daily content updates......

His point was you link from a high PR site in your niche to get some of their link juice and rep, not that your site is High PR itself. Like you said PR is nice, but pay days are better.

Content is everything. If your sites have keyword optimised content then you can get first page position even if other pages have more or higher PR backlinks.

You´ve got to do the research first. Find those good keywords with low competition and high searches.

I must agree with Andy here....

Getting direct PR 6 backlinks is not that hard - you can buy it or find a PR 6 blog page to comment for backlinks.

There are many factors about backlinking, like domain PR, page PR, how many links / page and how much competition for the targeted keyword...

All these factor would affect your site ranking.

hmmm i really respect every one's opinion but you haven't read my other post, i will describeit here, i sain in that post that open G and search for word "click here" no. 1 result is adobe which has no "click here" keyword with in title nor in its content @ Terro you said content is every thing!!

I am agreeing with everyone here! lol....your all 100% right...you need to do everything mentioned in this thread..but if the OP wants to prove us wrong and create a brand new site and just get one single backlink from a PR 6+ site and show us that it works then I will retire!...probably from implementing his ONLY way to get High PageRank!

one can't be specific with submissions like directories, articles, yahoo answers posting...but building backlinks and quality backlinks are the only way to increase your page rank or to have page rank which is quite difficult

I can rank for probably a few tens of millions of keywords the day I post the content. I'm an SEO god, right? Nope. Anyone can do it. Just pick long-tail keywords no one ever searches for that have no competition. Maybe I'll do a WSO about it and make millions. Wait, no I won't. I have integrity and it would be wrong to give newbies the impression that it's all so simple.

yup, that's the biggest misconception people have, they try to acquire backlinks through link exchange but have you ever noticed that a PR 6 site have a links page with mostly PR N/A so you don't get a PR 6 link. i hope people will understand i can demonstrate with another example that most people love article marketing but those articles are also published on PR n/a pages, though they are helpful in getting noticed but it is not a PR 6 direct backlink.

Unless your keyword has almost no competition you have no chance of ranking with one single backlink, even from a PR10 page.
If It was that simple (As KKchoon mentioned earlier) you would only need some high PR blog commenting for those high PR backlinks to rank well. Guess what, every other marketer who has some clue about SEO has those high PR blog comments but they don't generally rank as high as they want.

yup i got you, that's the point i wanted to tell every one, if you see the comment page? it is an individual page framed in the main page so if you comment on any PR 9 page you don't get a PR 9 link budy, you get a PR N/A

and off course i challenge a PR 10 backlink can make you dominant in days even in high competitive keyword.

if you are really curious, go to any site with a comment page and you will obviously see "see all comments" text, click on it, (if you have any PR checker toolbar then it will show its pr otherwise copy that link and check PR from any site and then argue.

If you are referring to High PR blog posts, most probably already filled with tons of comments for link, the link juice might not be as effective.

As time passes, those links on the authority posts will have less and less power until the owner decided to close it for good.

As much as I love direct PR links, it will not be practical to focus solely on them for serious SEO work, definitely not for long term Article Marketing...

Those seem to be very powerful with Google.

I have one site were I shift between 8 to 12 for a profitable keyword. There is a site 6 months old in 4-5 spot and all it had initially was a high pr sitewide link from a relevant site. That was all and it cruised in ahead of sites years old. Now the guy has made a nice linkfarm with his other sites and done tons of linkbaiting. So yes, I believe it, but those links are going to cost you.

The problem with your post is the fact that you put so much emphasis on the fact that you believe you can actually get a higher position in the serps off of ONE high pr backlink. In what niche? For what keywords? has this strategy worked for you?

To top that off you seem to have confused page rank with serps. In fact the only reason I even took the time to read any of this thread was because I was interested to hear some tips on how to boost a sites Pr, only to find misinformation on how to rank higher in the serps.

I am sure that your intentions were good my friend, but when you say that you are trying to help all of the newbies and then make such an irresponsible and uninformed post like this one you are indeed the one that seems to be the newbie.
