I just got a question when you create a new blog/hubpage/wiki and insert your anchor text link in it does it count as an authority backlink of high PR to your site? Or is it just done to generate traffic? Could someone explain please. Thank you in advance!

I think both. High PR, high ranking and then high traffic

Anchor text link is counted as a backlinks if blog/hubpage/wiki allows link to DoFollow. These links also generate traffic.

Check for the Do-follow tag, before putting the anchor text link. The anchor text has to be unique and relevant to your niche.

Some points to think on So some believe that a site has x amount of pr and outbound links pass some of that pr, so on our own sites, do no follow and other link shaping techniques to "sculpt" page rank. Alright, now think of one of these web 2.0 properties that have do follow links. They effectively have millions of outbound links to internet marketers. So when you take whatever pr they have and divide it by millions, are you really getting much? I doubt it very much. I don't know but it just doesn't make sense that the pr hoarders are right if you do get a lot of pr from web 2.0 properties and if the pr hoarders are right, then it's merely a link from a web 2.0 property and that's it. |

Thanks guys, but what I mainly mean is the DO follow blogs and websites like webs/google sites whenever you create a page on them and post your article in there and anchor text will that link count as an authourity link with high PR since all those webs/blogs got like 5 to 8 PRs? Thanks..

If you placed your anchor text links in resource box then it'll help your authority backlink of high PR and same time will generate traffic as well. Jamian |

If the page that is linked to your page has PR and the link contains the "dofollow" tag then it will pass PR to your page. The anchor text used in the link will help you rank for those terms in the search engines as long as the link is not a "nofollow". Hope this helps.
