Default ASP.NET and SEO

Hi,

I'm thinking about creating a website in asp.net.
Should this present any challenges regarding SEO?

At the moment I don't need alot of .net capabilities, but I may in the future, so it's simply to be future proof, and not optimize one page and then replace it by an asp.net page in the future.

Thanks.

Best regards,
Thomas

So asp.net in itself should not present any challenges as long as I follow the usual SEO guidelines?

Thanks.

Best regards,
Thomas

This is correct. Just make sure that you create your title tag and SEO friendly page name correctly for each page, especially generated ones. Don't overuse query strings, something that is common in both ASP.NET and classic ASP. Also avoid excessive AJAX based navigation and widgetry since this can make it impossible for search engine 'bots to spider your site.

Great, thanks.
Do you know any userfriendly wysiwyg editors? Have you tried MS Expression?

Thanks.

Best regards,
Thomas
