Yes incredible for a SEO newbie, but it proves it can be done with the right key words My article with keywords cavelossim tourist information has made Google no1 spot for broad search, 18700 competition, in less than 12 hours since published. Im bulleted onto top of Google page 3 for Goa Tourist Information broad search 604 000 competition + 7th place , 1st page for "Goa tourist information" in quotes 49000 competition No other backlinks Im aware of either For me this really does prove the power of article writing. |

Hey EricOM, Nice work - good to see you get some results, article marketing is great when done well. I can see "Goa Tourist Information" has some search volume, but none that I can see for "cavelossim tourist information" unless you spelled that wrong? Your next challenge is to get top rankings for some high search volume words, which i am sure you can do. ![]() All the best. |

Actually a website has nicked the article already without giving any credit. I suspect its one of these automatic feeds- opensolver dot com, however its above me in google for "Cavelossim Information". Theres no contact info to get the article removed (or credit given) |

| Its around 660 words. Ive got a link to a page of my site within the article and my homepage link in the resource box but hadn't done any backlinking. I wasnt even expecting it published so quickly. Im on page 7 for Cavelossim out of 92000 competition so I think the goal would be to maybe do some backlinking to push this keyword up google pages + maybe repeat for other lesser known destinations. If I submit it to other article websites, do I need to "spin it" ? Ill leave Paris for now |

That would be some good money as far as those keywords are concerned because that search term looks like it gets VERY few searches per month. but here is the problem that makes it even less profitable. Whatever visits you get are not to your site but to ezinearticles. You now have to take into account that only a small percentage will click your author link. This is what people don't learn about when they are taught to rank "their article" on an article site. You have not ranked. You have only helped ezinearticle to rank in return for a link that gets a fraction of the traffic. Depending on your conversion you could see as little as five visits per hundred that ever get to your site. For that reason for a very low competitive term you are better off trying to rank your own site than an ezinearticle post. Personally I would only go for a search term with 20,000 or more searches per month and a very strong competition when using an article site but thats me. | |
