Default Any Megafoo Customers?

I came across Megafoo
in an Adsense ad and was
curious so I clicked...

Decided to give their Paid Directory
service a try and have yet to get the
Paypal interface to work. Their Alexa
rank is great so figure they are getting
good traffic at least which is no guarantee
that they are legit, but strange that they
would be showing up so much in PPC if they
were not at least somewhat so.

Anybody out there have any experience with
these guys?

I just came across them also and did a forum search that ended up with just your 1 post. Whoever they are, they don't seem to be known at all.

As with all services, if it's half as good as it sounds it would be a great time saver at a reasonable price. But no feedback?

I'll do a bit more research and report back if I find anything

That is interesting, we've got 100's of orders since January of this year without any issues (or at least none reported). But hey, if I'm loosing customers due to some problems, I'm all ears. I'll need more information before I can fix anything but I assure you that this would be one of my top priorities since I'm paying decent money for a portion of my visitors.

Are you able to hit the paypal page and just not complete the order?

Does the problem stem on the megafoo side like you're not able to enter your url?

Legit I am.

Alexa has slowly risen over the past few months, I think I'm <30k right now (much higher for US traffic). Awstats is currently shows a couple thousand visitors per day (organic) + the paid traffic (a small slice of the pie). 90%+ of my traffic is US, the rest is mainly Europe.

I am known around other forums, just not here ... don't spend much time at this place at all

The directory definitely works, I built it for my network of sites last year and having 80 natural links will kickstart any new domain & also the sites are authority enough that nobody (even Cutts) can scream spam. I've spent my time in the "directory universe" and it's my opinion that 99% of them are utter crap & a time waster. Megafoo adds value (multiple links to your site, deep links, 80 additional links, directory page well linked throughout megafoo) and is worth the price of admission IMO.

Also, we've got a free serp tracker for the site you submit. It's free for anyone and tracks your keyword positioning for the top 3 engines.

I'll try to find my way back to this thread if additional questions get posted.

I signed up but have no idea what ever happened as there was no reponse or report of any kind.

How do we get the free serp checker? I can't pm here, so please leave me contact info some how..

Also, how often would it be worth it to keep using the service for various keywords?

Thanks!

Rucco,

We have a dedicated thread for all SERP Tracking questions. Could you please post your issues in there? That way when we resolve one problem, others can see the solution as well.

The service sends you weekly emails so that you don't have to check daily on the website. The website provides daily updates of your ranking for Google,Bing, and Yahoo and outputs it in an easy to analyze graph format.

Might be purely co-incidental but I used MegaFoo for one of my sites and it dropped from #7 to #9 in the SERPS the next day. Still trying to figure out why/how that might be related.
