It may be my insanity kicking in, but does anyone notice differences in the SERPS at night versus during the day? I've got a site sitting on page two (#12) during the day, but when I check it at night, it is on page one (#7). Am I losing it? Or has anyone else experienced this? Is this just the dance? |

Are you using the same computer when checking or is it a case of checking one form a work computer and one from a personal computer at home? If that is the case it could be related to Personalized Search on one of the computers.

Aha, figured it out. Google has a feature called search customizations. It's based upon search history and works regardless of whether you are logged in to a Google account or not...

I thought it was something to do with the history of your searches. I have experienced this too =)

Download "Rank Checker" by Link Assistant and use that with proxies to check your rankings. That way, your results won't be skewed by personalised searches.
