This doesnt mean SEO will end. There is always some algorithm for which Google will rank pages besides your personalized search. So we will optimise for the algorithm.

No new algorithm, no new tricks needed. Google is already doing this.

You still want your site to be at the top when someone is doing a fresh search for your niche. Keep building backlinks, and using the same old tricks you have been.

There is always a way...no matter what.

I don't care about whatever Google comes up
with.

There are many ways to drive traffic to my
websites anyway and SEO just happens to be
one of those ways.

Google has already done this for awhile. When I'm logged in to my Google account, websites that I previously clicked for a search show up at the top of the results. Even if they do further change the algorithm, it's still an algorithm. There will always be SEO as long as there are search engines.
