Like Live, MSN and Yahoo? My site has never been ranked for any keywords in Google despite having 10 pages indexed and a current PR of 3 (bumped from 1 after last update) Yet I'm ranked in MSN and Yahoo, my site is roughly 9 months old... What could be the problem? Can't be banned or I wouldnt have page rank right? What can I do to get Google to at least rank me!? Even if it was 800 just to know that I'm on the radar! |

Hi, Google mainly concentrates on the quality scores which makes your rank to be in top position of google. |

How do I improve my quality score? Right now the main page of my site is a squeeze page, with 5 other pages on the site with article reviews leading back to the main page... I have over 300+ inbound links to my site with various anchors added slowly over the past 9 months.... so I know Google knows I exist, and nothing I've done is black hat... I'd think that'd be a huge quality score boost...no? |

It could be that your page is heavy on keywords. That will make it rank well in MSN etc.... but not Google.

Why do you say that? They will rank a site very fast in my experience. | |

My website is: Lose Weight Fast and Reveal Your Sexy New Body in Days with These Tips I could see it not ranking for a keyword, but to not rank at all for anything? Not even rank 679 for something? Seems a bit odd! I dont add fresh content to the main page as it is just a squeeze page for a newsletter, but I've seen other squeeze pages rank high in Google... If I started an adwords ppc campaign to the page, would that help In googles eyes put me on the radar? |

You have 41 pages indexed. You have a few links coming back to it. You could really optimize your anchor text from EZA etc with variety ... Perhaps you can put a little more content under fold. You may be penalized for not having your main keywords on the page. You could do some more web 2.0 like squidoo, video marketing etc... to get some rankings. Put a blog beside it and link from the footer and link back with each blog post to the index with unique anchor text. I do that and it works each time.. Bookmark, digg and ping each post. (I would try and have less links in your resources sections) |

Hi again, Thanks for all the replies! The reason I dont have links to the content pages FROM the homepage, is because I send my newsletter subscribers to them in the autoresponder series for how to lose weight, each page being a review site. I didnt link to them to begin with so make sure people sign up to the newsletter, otherwise they would just click through to the review pages... but I wonder if I do a sitemap and put it down and out of the normal viewing area if that'd help with things... The content pages do link TO the homepage though...so there is that bit of connecting the dots... thoughts? |
