Hi. I am wondering what type of layouts would be effective for a bigger adsense site. My site currently has 30 pages. I am using a design similar to the X-Factor sites. There is the big 280 x 330 ad on the top left and menu options to access the rest of the pages the right. The click through rate is not great, with 50 impression, the rate is often 4 or 5 at the most. The pages are all keyword related and the ads are relevent. Gives people 3 options: back button, adsense ad or the other pages on the right. Perhaps should hide the right hand menu to give less options. When it was a 1 page microniche, the click through would be as much as 40%. I am wondering what styles of layout can be effective when there is more pages involved. Thanks. Jim. |

There's a great free wordpress theme that I use that has a good layout and good click through ratios. It's called prosense I believe, it's been a while since I downloaded it, but I would bet you can find it through a google search. Even if you don't want to use wordpress as a platform, go check out the layout as it has proven to be effective for me. |
