How to do SEO for Yahoo Search Engine?

My website comes in top 10 of google search result for some keywords. But why it is not coming in top 30 of Yahho Search result. I need to bring in top 10 results of yahoo for some specific keywords.Please tell me how can i optimize my website for Yahoo Search Engine.

yahoo's search engine alogorithm will be very similar to google's - taking in much the same factors, it may just be the case that yahoo have not taken into everything/updated rankings as quickly as google, I wouldn't go about changing yet as you could find your google position move down! just sit tight and keep doing what you are doing and you should see it move up the yahoo rankings soon.

If you haven't already a urllist.txt sitemap (as opposed to .xml) will help get all of your pages recognised by Yahoo.

Why would you go with Yahoo?
It is not so important anymore.
latest result on Google use.... and climbing!

95% uses Google....

I have found it takes yahoo and bing much longer to rank for BUT once they have taken notice of my sites, I rank much higher for a lot of terms in those SEs.

Just takes time.

Would be great if they gave the same traffic as google.

In my experience Yahoo is slow to rank and index sites compared to Google.

I would just recommend focusing on Google SEO and just give it time and let Yahoo / Bing do their things. In time with enough links and time, you will rank.

Google would be the search engine to focus your efforts, although Yahoo should be targeted with similar efforts.
