I accidentally stumbled onto this fact: 62 backlinks to my site, with 61 of them coming from my signature in Warriorforum thread posts. (Source of link checker: SEO Spyglass) Result: PR1 site Age of domain: a month old. Platform used: Wordpress --- Perhaps Google will only count one backlink from each domain for SERPs purposes, but multiple backlinks from the same domain (also known as site-wide links) does still give you MORE link juice ![]() What are you waiting for? Start contributing quality posts and reap the two benefits at one go! Regards, Ed |

Wrong section. But its impossible to know if thats what gave you a Pr jump. No system reports all your backlinks and it only takes one good unreported one to give you a good kickstart to PR1

I was just wondering, could it be that even though Google treats all backlinks from the same domain as one, it's algorithm stacks up the entire amount of backlinks and combined them into one single backlink with lots of link juice? Like: 100 links from WF => Being treated by Google as one combined link => 100 back link juice combined into one single link-juice filled backlink to your site. Speculating Do give me your opinion thanks..Ed |

I don't believe for a second that Google only gives you one link from each URL. That being said, is it a free wordpress blog or one you host yourself? I've seen a few of the free ones end up with some PR just because of the few natural links that happen from the wordpress internal structure. |

It's actually a self-hosted blog. ![]() And I'm doubting the the common belief of one back link per domain in Google's eyes too, testing it out right now ![]() And for those of who uses traffic or SEO plugins for your wordpress blogs, NO, I have absolutely no other plugins apart from those pre-installed and a contact form plugin. ![]() I think the belief that many of us have is that there is a law of diminishing returns when it comes to multiple links from the same domain. All things being equal it is better to get 1 link from 100 domains than 100 links from 1 domain, but that isn't to say that the extra links from the latter situation are worthless. Tom

Hey Tom Great insight! I was just wondering, where could the link juice be coming from cause all these backlinks are coming from PR0 thread posts. I had another site of mine with about 189 backlinks from 80 over different domains but yet it is still stuck at PR0. Big question marks! ![]() Ed Quote:

Keep in mind that the PR that Google releases is rounded to the nearest whole number. So a PR1 page might actually be a 0.6PR or a 1.4PR. Even if all of the threads show up as PR0, they have some small PR to them, maybe PR0.1, 0.2, who knows. That adds up. Tom
