Hey warriors,

First of all I must say this is the best online marketing and make money online forum

Yesterday I have read the thread keyword research and implementation 101 which was one the most helpful thread about online marketing I have ever read.

But I really think this method don't work as well as he mentioned because of the following reasons.

Keywords:

This is the main issue, its very hard to find 100 keywords that matches the criteria which Daniel Molano laid out.

Criteria for finding the long tail keywords:

300 searches/month using exact match of google keyword tool. Also, the "page" which is ranking first on google for that keyword should have less than 30 backlinks.

Problem with Finding 100 keywords like it:

I have followed his steps and started my keyword research and i have found that for most of the long tail keywords, the same site is ranking which is ranking for short tail keywords.

Real world example

Just for better understanding i am sharing the real world example with you so that we can digg into this topic deeper.

keyword - "make money"
keyword - "how to make money"
keyword - "how to make money fast"

If you check these three keywords you will see the same site is ranking for all these 3 keyword . Most of the time we found the same situation while researching the keywords.

To solve this mystery i did research and i have found the reason why the same sites which ranks for short tail are also ranking for longtail keywords.

Reason:

The reason is very easy to tell for anyone who knows little about of SEO.

As you know search engines like Google ignore some words in order to speed up the search results and these words are know as "stop words"

So, in the above situation how to are stop words that's why Google is showing the same sites for all 3 keywords.

I have also checked the backlinks of the first site and noticed that they have used "make money" and "make money fast" in the anchor text. This make me understood why the same site is ranking for all three keywords.


Questions About The Above Situation

So, for example if i choose the keyword "how to make money fast" and build backlinks using the full keyword as an anchor text will i able to achieve the first position easily?

Will Google count the stop words in the anchor text and boost the rankings of my site for that particular keyword?

Second problem with keyword research and implementation 101 method.

The second problem is that after finding and achieving the rankings for 100 keywords, will only have the potential to give 500 people/day not 1000.

Why

Many case studies proved that the site which ranks number 1 will get 40% of search traffic. However we can improve the CTR by giving good title and description to our page.

The method that Daniel Molano laid out in keyword research and implementation 101 is great and you really start getting traffic within no time.

I request all the SEO experts to answer my two questions that i have asked above or it would be much better if you could show me any real world example.

Note: - I am seeing the same site ranking for all the three keywords and i am also aware the fact that Google has changed very much in recent times so you if you don't see the same site for all the keywords pls don't complain. But, it doesn't mean that my questions has no value.

Good keyword research is very important and it is fact that keyword research can make or break your online business. So it is very important to spend good time in keyword research before doing anything else.

But, it is very hard to find long tail keywords which matches the above criteria. So i request all the warriors to share ideas, post and threads or their experience about keyword research

If you are going to specifically argue a method someone uses - you have to start with what they said.

AT LEAST 300 searches, less than 300,000 competing sites and less than 30 backlinks.

When it came to exact match - he said he uses exact but for very targeted niches broad match works well.

That's not a question that can be answered. First position in search engines is seldom easy. Doing good research gives you a better chance - but no guarantee.

For example, let's say I'm researching the dating niche. I find out there are several niche terms, such as:

dating ; pick up ; seduction ; filirting ; rapport ; kissing ; attraction (and many more)

I grab those terms and insert them into the keyword tools, then a long list of keywords related to the term are displayed. You want to go for the long tail keywords/phrases (3 words or more). Why? Because those have way less competition than the other ones.

I'm a bit sleepy at the moment and only gave Daniels post a quick read but I think you might want to reread the above quote on his keyword selection when it comes to a niche.

keyword - "make money"
keyword - "how to make money"
keyword - "how to make money fast"

You want to take "make money" as your starting point and branch out from there with additional long-tail phrase.
