Backlinking Processes

Hi All,

I'm in the process of doing some backlinking for a new site and was wondering what process people use for example to get the search engines to pick up the links quicker e.g pinging etc. I've been checking my backlinks and none appear yet. That said web diagnostics don't seem to show my site as even being in google, not sure what i've missed.

Are there any specific all in one tools people recommend?

I ussually use a few different bookmarking services like propeller and digg and a few others. If they aren't indexed within 2-3 days then I use a different bookmarking service.

Also when I am trying to get a site indexed I use 3stepads.com. jsut make sure you post original content and then post your link with the keywords you want to rank with your link. I also recomend creating your own bloging platform to get your sites indexed. I got a program called google slingshot, that gives you the how to and the content. I think it was a WSO just look for it.

I used to use angelas backlinks to create the links but I found a fully automated system that creates profile links and other web 2.0 links all automated.

I use that system for my sites and I even got a contract to do local SEO using this system. Which pays for the service for me. See my sig for more info.

Hi David,

Your backlinks need backlinks, try bookmaking them. A simple bookmarklet should do the trick.

Delicious has a nice bookmarklet that will post to your twitter account as well.

fastlancer - I've been using angela and pauls backlinks, i've only added them this week, so i'm being pretty impatient but I don't really know the expected time frames for the backlinks to register. For example the freshbizopps link below using linkdiagnostics only shows one backlink when there should definitely be more. Perhaps its what dburk has mentioned about backlinks needing backlinks, does that apply even for profile pages?

Pinging is great but most of the time, I just try to get High PR links, it gets updated faster. How fast the backlink is picked up is dependent on the PR of the web page. The higher the PR, the more often spiders revisit the page. E.g. CNN is PR10 and that's why their articles are picked up every 30 mins to 1 hour.

I don't think you should start depending upon these profile links as they are not going to help you in early stages and Google might kick you out.

Better try natural ways or free link building ways in this stage and then go for paid links..
