Natural Backlinking with images.... Need Advice.

I have plans to set up a site that will be pretty large.

I also plan to do a major SEO and marketing campaign to get tons of traffic.

One of the features of my site will be for webmasters to put a piece of code onto their site in order to link to me. The code will show up as an image if that matters.

If I were to get like 1,000 webmasters per day to put a link on their site would that be considered bad?

I'm not going to advertise this our outsource it in any way. It would be webmasters that come to my site, see the code, like my site, then link to me.

Would this get me banned from google, yahoo, MSN, etc. if it were to get to popular?
