| If you install the plugin, there is a page added in the admin panel under settings called extremeseo stats. This page will tell you how many of your posts are in the network index and it will show you the urls of the last 50 posts to link back to you.

Ok, I just tested the quality of this plugin on my hunting blog. The Related Links section below my posts looked good, however upon clicking on the links, I noticed some discrepencies. The first I noticed was that 2 of the 3 links Extreme SEO placed went to Custom 404 Error pages on other blogs. Another discrepency I noticed was that it linked to duplicate content, meaning that the same article was on two different domains. I also noticed that a few sites which were linked to from my blog did not have the same Related Links section. I understand that the webmasters of the sites could have customized the plugin for their sites, but I did not see any links pointing outside of their sites besides Adsense. I love the concept, but it's still buggy. |

I do not think google take quite naturally from the links on this plugin. perhaps interpret it as a purchase and sale = ban blog |

I STILL have yet to have any links back to my site from this. 0 incoming links since my first reply in this thread. Website is www.howtoskateboardbeginners.com Still ranking for the high traffic term "how to skateboard for beginners" lol woohooo Above websites who have exact domain matches...www.howtoskateboardforbeginners.com and www.howtoskateboardforbeginners.org 18000 exact global search volume. Manual link building has always produced the best results for me. I love SEO |

| Do you have the plugin activated? I don't see it on your site. Obviously, if you don't have it activated, you won't get any backlinks. If you deactivate, any backlinks that you have gotten will soon disappear as well. If you do have it activated, then we need to investigate why it is not working on your site because it is working quite well on thousands of other sites. |

We only recently re-activated the stats since launch. We were debugging the stats and only in the last couple days released an update that shows your last 50 backlinks. Just because the stats page wasn't showing the backlinks doesn't mean you were not getting them. You can always check your backlinks using Yahoo's site explorer. But, if it really wasn't working on your site I'd really like to know why because like I said before, thousands of sites are enjoying the benefits of the plugin. If you want to install the latest version of the plugin again I would be glad to take a look at your site to make sure it is working properly.

SEOLinknet - Would it be possible to have an option which excludes certain domains from linking back to us? One key reason for this is to be able to avoid linking to some of my own sites. It's common to have more than one domain in the same niche and these will naturally have similar themes. Now that the last 50 links are being listed, I can see links I would rather not have. How can I flag that a particular link is unsuitable for a given site? Ivan |

I installed this about 3 days ago, I'm seeing all kinds of links to other sites being placed on my post, but I'm receiving none in return. Should I give it more time or uninstall?

I installed this on one of my dead sites yesterday but have since de-activated it, not because it didnt work - it did work. I had around 40 backlinks from the plug-in in one day. I decided against the automation idea for the sole reason that if google did decide to slap the site then my other sites on the same server could end up getting slapped too. Personal choice, but I will say the plug-in does work (at least for me it worked).

The stats are starting to show sites that claim to give me back-links but when I visit the pages, my site is nowhere to be found. Is this some sort of scam these guys are running? Can someone share their experience? |

Have the software developers obfuscated the code in the directory where this plug in gets installed so its not easily detected by google? 1. is this plug in directory randomly named? 2. is there some sort of entry made in the install folder to prevent googlebot and others from crawling the files in this folder? 3. is the php and resulting code presented to the browser easily identifiable to bots/engines as a footprint? If none of the above - is there any intention of safeguarding users against easy detection? |

I have been using this plugin for over a month now and I can confirm that I have been getting backlinks to my posts. However the pages my posts link to, only one out of three are relevant. That maybe because there are not enough relevant pages in the network. They have just started to charge for the stats part of the plugin, so if you want to see what incoming links you are getting you have to pay, which is fair enough as the stats page was getting extremely slow to update due to increased popularity and they have to pay to maintain and upgrade their servers. All that being said, I feel that its only a matter of time before Google catch on to this automatic link generation and penalize sites for using it, so I will be deactivating. |

Hmm I went to uninstall the extremeSEO plugin and it took two attempts as it seemed to hang on three of my blogs. I checked out seolinknet's support forum and they say you have to use the WP plugins deactivate link and then delete plugin links from the console, because if you just delete it from FTP it will not run the database cleanup. So I uninstalled correctly and deleted the plugin as per their instructions but in the database in WP_Options I found the settings extremeseo_headertext and extremeseo_linksperpost were still live. So no DB cleanup! I also had the latest and greatest version installed as I recently updated it on those three blogs. Whats worse is that the outbound links on my posts are still there and I can't get rid of them. I will let you know if I find out where they are stored. ![]() I'm starting to think that they make it difficult to uninstall as they need the links in the network for the whole thing to succeed. |

Completely uninstalled now. Just had to wait for the outgoing links to be removed. I think a job must kick off on their server to update them. The left over settings should have been cleaned out but for some reason they weren't on my sites so just had to remove them from the DB manually. |

Hi, I installed this plugin on a new auto-generated games site on 18th May, and thought I'd chip in with my experiences: I installed it via the Wordpress console. There are two visible components to the plugin: An options screen, which is quite basic, and a statistics page. The statistics page didn't work at first (it had been deactivated by the publisher), but was working a couple of releases later. This did allow me to see what sites are linking into my site. After a couple of weeks, I did see some links at the bottom of some of my posts. Of these, I'd say that 2 of 10 were directly related to my niche (which is Casual Games), and perhaps another 1 or 2 additional links related at a stretch (eg. console or entertainment system). None of the links appeared to be totally unsavoury, though I did see a couple relating to plastic surgery or similar such topics, which I wasn't exactly totally happy with (and, yes, there are quite a few SEO/IM/AM-related links, which can hardly be of interest to the readers of my site.) I also found that links were added immediately to posts which were created by me, and only after some considerable time, if at all, to auto-generated posts (eg. 1 month or more). I suspect (though without any tangible proof) that my experience might be mirrored by other auto-blogs, and if would be interesting to hear of others' experiences. Having applied a couple of updates since the install, I came back to my site a couple of weeks ago to find that they are now charging extra if you want to have a statistics module. In other words, there is no way of knowing who links into your site unless you pay (though admittedly, the amount asked for is not huge). Furthermore, I have checked the backlinks to my site, which stand at 0 for Google, 3 for Yahoo, and 8 for Bing - not quite what I was expecting... I've therefore decided that this is best dropped. While I didn't find it a huge burden on my blog in terms of interference, I was expecting some return in terms of backlinks, and, yes, I do fear that the irrelevancy of the links will affect my overall ranking. However, it might work well for someone in the right niche (probably IM/SEO, etc, and perhaps also fitness/weight loss), who doesn't want to spend any time on backlink building, and who does at least post some content themselves. I just I'd share my experiences, in case anyone else is considering this... |
