Google is constantly playing practical jokes on me...

I know that most of my sites have PR0 or PR1, and my main blog actually has some kind of PR penalty on it with a gray PR.

As most of us here on the forum i work hard, content, links...the usual.

My "best" site with the most traffic ranks position #2 for a keyword right now and has PR0. ZERO <-- yes.

Today i run MOST of my sites through scrapebox simply to check their PR.

Out comes that a site of mine where i NEVER EVER bothered to do anything has PR2:

It's a "cloned" site where i used my own ASQ tool to clone a clickbank vendor page from clickbank.

It's a one-pager with 1:1 copy of the sales page, and the few outgoing links are to the original site.

I never did ANYTHING with that site, so i just examined the backlinks in linkdiagnosis and i see i have only 7 links on some low PR sites and article directories, 1 of the links is NoFollow.

I am absolutely amazed how this site can be PR2, it's the same PR as i got with other sites of mine where i literally work like a madman..and here is a "junk" site where i even forgot i had it - with PR2?

Simply dont get it....

Simply dont get it....

For pagerank quality is more important than quantity. A pr 3 domain, percpowell.com was sold at forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1786305 recently. It got pagerank 3 from 1 single image link that is coming from jlstoll.com/portfolio.html.

I have a couple of sites on the google poop list at the moment as well. The really weird things is google turned it's back on me and now yahoo and bing are giving me all kinds of love.

Really, the harder i work the more i "get it" from Google...my PR on my sites is usally 180 degree the opposite of what traffic i am getting and how i rank.

I spend months on a wordpress site with very nice design and content, and the site is on page #1 very high up in google for years.....for some reason now got PR0.

Of course that PR2 one-pager site is nowhere ranking and i dont even remembr getting ONE sale on this since its simply a forgotten site of mine - anyway bet i will do some link building now and rank it, its a pretty good keyword in the health niche.

OF COURSE i wouldnt be surprised if the PR drops once i rank. <-- seriously.

Google is just bizarre.

The G algo has an interesting way to calculate the link juice. There're times where their engineers, even Matt Cutts, don't know what's going on. The story is in seobook.com
