Post Tweaking, Changing Blog or Editing Existing Posts... Will I get punished?

Hey there, it's been busy times and to be honest I'm struggling a bit. My website is 4 months old, getting good traffic from search engines but not converting visits into sales. So I decided to make some changes like:

. editing the articles (adding images to the article page, tweaking words etc.)

. hiding/not showing article post dates (they are shown both on the homepage -article summary- section and article pages)

But I'm confused again... Will search engines (Google in particular) punish me for making changes / edits and will it effect my SERPS? I don't really want to make a mistake which costs me more than I can pay atm... My site (homepage and some article pages) are on Google 1st or 2nd page for competitive keywords. I can't afford paid advertising so this is my best chance.

Hope my question is clear. This must be basic knowledge to most of you but hey I'm pretty new at the online side of this business.

Thank you

Just be sure you don't edit the Page Titles. Very important. Especially if your page ranks well. It will take a long time to climb again, if ever...

Everywhere I've read that Google and other search engines like to see frequently updated pages. I change the front table of my forum all the time to keep the members abreast of the latest goings-on on our game.

Nah you won't be punished at all
If your hitting first page just keep pumping those posts and switch up your keyword anchor links too then you can start to rank for other KW too ... Great going for your ranking..

To your success
