I consistently earn around $4,000 - $6,000 a month via Amazon's affiliate program, but in general suck with Adsense. Perhaps it's because I'm so focused on running my websites to target affiliate offers (i.e. Amazon) but I'd like to try and see if I can't raise my Adsense earnings without cannibalizing Amazon earnings. What would you say is the best book for Adsense in 2010? I heard Joel Comm had a good book but I believe it's very old (2007) and still lists tips like "put images next to Adsense ads" which as we know is not allowed anymore. Recommendations? |

Try the Xfactor method. It's good and it's working (when you do it right) Best regards, Andrii P.S Congrats with you're Amazon earnings (May I PM you to find out how you managed to do that?) |

I'll do a search (or perhaps you can just provide a link). I won't be able to respond to your PM until I hit 50 posts but you can just go to my blog (see below) and click the popular posts tab - it should be on that list where I outline some of the methods I use to earn more with Amazon's affiliate program. I also recommend the Adsense Masters Course - Adsense Masters Course. It's not actually a "method", but a guide. It links the do's and don'ts. John also shares his own secrets that might alone be worth a few hundred bucks. Karan |

When you say you are consistently earning bucks from amazon, i hope you are not trying to promote for a prelaunch of your WSO. If you are looking for xfactor type of info, why dont you try the free version first? 6 Months Later: $300 Daily w/Adsense (Lessons Learned) Simon |

I do VERY well earning up to 90% revenue share on Info Barrel. Not that it'll completely take the place of beginning one's own website, however, many spend years trying to gain the search engine authority that they have.... |

Side note: Your PM to me was pretty odd. You ask me for a URL of my websites that earn money and when I deny your request for obvious reasons you say you're laughing at me. Why should I have to divulge information? It's your right not to believe me if you'd like. I'd be happy to just take a screenshot of my earnings but then you'd just say it was doctored. | |

Anyway getting back to topic at hand. There aren't any other good books? I guess I always get a bit turned off when I hear something like: Adsense Xplosion, Xfactor, Adsense Ultimatorium etc. etc. lol because it feels like hype Edit: Just read his Xfactor thing that's sort of what I do except with Amazon so he sounds legit enough. |

I've looked all over the place for good adsense ebooks and most of them are pretty much the same thing re-hashed. You probably already know 90% of the stuff if your already this succesful with amazon. All you probably need to learn is to test adds ( placement, colors) for maximum clicks. Maybe also pay more attention to the $ per click when you do keyword research (I'm guessing you weren't looking for that with amazon unless you were doing PPC...). The X-factor ebook by John is easily amongst the best. I don't have personal success yet with my small websites like he proposes but the basics of how he does keyword research + backlinks can apply very well to other adsense projects anyway. btw, I'll be reading your blog, I'm still new to IM and your amazon websites might have a nice twist to what I currently do! | That doesn't seem to have bothered others here. One of the primary functions of this site is to allow members to generate income through WSOs.

I have Joel Comm's book and it was quite good, don't know about the others. I agree with Natlex that if you are already making good income from Amazon, you probably have the traffic you need. Is it that your epc or ctr is low? Have you tried different sized ad blocks and changed the colors? Are you targeting certain keywords to get higher epc? Probably lots you can do to optimize. For me, keyword research made the biggest difference as you can get clicks for a couple dollars instead of pennies (don't know how well this will work on your Amazon site though because of subject matter), but I use to be amazed to see that a small thing like changing the title color made a big difference in ctr - but it can.

What exactly is an "Adsense book"? Apart from blog design and ad placement and niche selection, there isn't much else you can do or need to know about Adsense. You need targetted traffic - that's all. Then you will make money with Adsense or affiliate ads or whatever. |

adsense works the best when you do a deep keywords research. while when it come to sales you just need a good sale page.

lol you rank first page for "make money on the internet"... even without any adsense guides, you simply put a 336 adsense block above the fold and you would see a decent amount of earnings. Exact global monthly search for "make money on the internet" is 60,500.

While I haven't bought the book because adsense is pretty much self explanatory.. one person I've noticed has a ton of knowledge on making it work. Search the forum for Steve Crookes. I think he has a bootcamp or something. If you've been doing Amazon really well... then I think you've pretty much figured it all out because all you need to do is have information keywords rather than buyer keywords and you'll be making those figures in no time. |

For me i'd say FatCat Blueprint is definitely the best adsense ebook for now.He goes deeper in describing his methods and shows exactly how he does it,unlike Xfactor Authority guide which to me just scratches the surface.

What do you expect to find in a book? Seriously. If you want to make money from Adsense you do the same basic things as Affiliate marketing. You put the ads where you would put your affiliate offer. You feature them. The real key that everyone that doesn't make sense with Adsense over looks is THIS: YOUR USERS INTENTIONS IN VISITING YOUR SITE MUST MATCH THE CONTENT DISPLAYED IN YOUR ADS. If your ad content doesn't match why they came to your site in the first place you will not make money. This is why Google is using cookies to track user interests. This is why when a person comes to your site that was looking at Honda Cars will see ads for Honda Cars if they are being tracked by Google. Makes sense right? It sure does. So look at your analytics. Why are people coming to your site? The keywords tell you that! They also tell you where they come from and where they leave from. Wouldn't it make sense to figure out what pages they are leaving from and then matching up the keywords on that page to content that displays ads and putting those ads in a location where before leaving they are staring your visitors right in the face? That's how you do Adsense. The average person has no clue about how to leverage Adsense. They put ads in the side bars or below the fold, or in a place where when crawled Google won't be able to accurately determine what to display. You can "Teach" adsense what to display on a page with your Title tags and with the text which is in proximity for the ads. If you don't make your Adsense and afterthought but you feature it and you work to make sure your ads are right where people's eyes are you win. You probably already know about the Google Heat Map but if not you can see it here: Where should I place Google ads on my pages? - AdSense Help And you only need a single well placed block of ads to make money!!! Too many ads will likely pull your earnings down. Finally on pages that are dead... remove the ads. No point in empty impressions. The New Google Beta Stats are your friend... dig into them. |
