Does anyone know about how to plan a site for maximum SEO if it is targeted at a forgein country and written in that country's native language? For example, if I am targeting France and I have a site written in French....should I register the domain with a .fr extension and find a hosting company in France to maximize SEO or can a site written in french that is a .com, .net or .org and is hosted here in the US compete just as well? |

@MikePMCO Very advanced question. Local hosting is a big deal right now, I've actually seen 50% - 70% increases in local traffic just because of local hosting. It doesn't just help with Google, it helps with a lot of the local search engines too. If you are using a targeting France I would do this: www.yoursite.fr Local site hosting. Also, I would have a version of your site in English and in French. (Their will be a lot of people searching in English even though you're targeting the country of France.) Let us at the Warrior Forum know how it works out. |

Why G gets very interested in local search now? It's due to mismanagement in the past. It's too ambitious. It over-expanded and forgot the path that it left behind... the niche of money. Hardi | |
