I am helping a friend redo their header source code for seo purposes. In looking around, I know the basics for title, keywords, description. However, I saw one site that had some things like '2 days' and some other stuff. I assume that is telling Google to check back every 2 days. Is there a good guide on the best optimal seo code you should use for me to go by? It is not a WP site or I would just use the plugin.

There are many online sources for SEO information but you need to know in advance that much of it will conflict with each other. Personally, I just do the "basics" concerning onpage SEO and concentrate on the building of as much high-quality incoming links as possible. However, if you still want to check out a resource, here's one to check out: SEO Book.com ~ SEO Training Made Easy |
