Default Adwords doesn't like pop-ups?

Hi,
I have never used pop ups. But for my next product I'm thinking about using it.What I'm thinking about is to use exit pop up. When a user tries to close the window or go to the back button, then pop-up comes up.

I heard on this forum that Adwords doesn't like pop ups. Is it ture and does it include this type of pop-ups? Does this lower your Quality Score?

Thanks

(Please kindly do not mention your personal opinion about pop-ups. Thanks.)

A pop-up is a pop-up. Doesn't matter what "kind" it is, you cannot use Adwords to drive traffic to a page that has them. Disable your popups when getting traffic from Adwords or remove them completely.

Anything that opens a new window is not allowed by Adwords.
You can use "Slide-In" type pop-ups though.

That would be a pop-up so in my mind, not allowed. You even use the word pop-up yourself.

Buddy your just a little bit wrong KirkMcD is correct in what he says, you can have what is known as a contextual pop up, in effect it must not open up in a separate window on open , during or at close.

but it can be in context on the site and must close when the site is closed.

You can use popups on your main page but you would have to create a seperate landing page for you ads that does not contain popups or you ad will not be displayed.
