Can someone explain why anyone would use Scrapebox as a tool to blast out thousands of blog comments linking back to your site? Wordpress blogs, for one, default to nofollow anyway...so you'd be building just a bunch of worthless links. (I guess you could just be trying to mix in NoFollow comments between your real links to mix it up a bit) What's the angle? I feel like I'm missing the forest for the trees here. |

Hi The Expert, I believe Scrapebox can be used for many different things, it is the "Swiss Army Knife" for spammers. Comment posting is just one of hundreds of things that you can use it for. While you could use it for a few white hat SEO tactics, it is mainly black hat in nature. |

Though I have had little success leaving links with it on blogs / comments. I know others have. Its a rather useful tool for the cost [ especially for the cost ] for looking at the indexation of your pages, your backlinks url pages, the PR they are on, and for finding large footprints of "stuff". proxie service is a must tho. | |

Hi there, (1) Scrapebox can do a lot more than blog commenting of course. I use it daily and would say that blog commenting consists of maybe 2% of what I use it for (harvesting sites being the biggest, but mass PR checking, mass indexed checking, max "alive" checking being what I usually use it for). (2) there are a lot of blog types other than Wordpress BlogEngine, for one, is by default do-follow. In the "slow commenter" mode, it can also post to some of the smaller blog types such as ExpressionEngine blogs(3) in my experience, if you have sites that you just want to get crawled frequently by Google (for instance, indexing blogs), no-follow blog comments DO help a lot in terms of getting google to find and crawl your site more frequently. I'll happily take thousands and thousands of nofollow links to indexing blogs. Tom Quote:

Normally, I cannot stand automated programs, but I just started using Scrapebox to boost the view count of my EZA articles, thus giving them a jolt in views as well as back links for favorable SERP performance. That's a fancy way of saying, more traffic. :-) I'll keep you guys posted on my results with it. |

| What software have you tried that you can't stand? I can only think of one or two, and that's because they either didn't live up to the marketing hype, they weren't as good as the competition, or they were buggy - or some combination of those things. either way, scrapebox is amazing and versatile. You can use it for pure Whitehat purposes (compiling and analyzing a list of sites to comment on) to deep Black (getting your competition listed on Spamhaus).

I love when people think scrapebox is for spam, they have no idea how to use it. In fact, I'm not even going to get into how amazing of a tool it is because I'll just start an argument. |

You also can install a no follow checker in your browser so that you can understand on which post to make comment.I like scrapebox for its various ways of use and flexibility of course.
