Is there any need for using Ad Planner, Placement Tool, Alexa, Compete or Quantcast when we target placements in Specialty Sites? For instance, if we are targeting ign.com for a videao game related offer, does demographics has any role to play? Thanks |

If your planning on targeting a specific site or sites for ad placement, demographics has everything to do with the success of your campaign. If your looking at placing your advertising or any product related content on xyz.com then you will want to make sure that the site(s) have the right kind of traffic that would percieve your product as useful to them. If xyz.com has primarily older group of men that visit the site and your offer is selling farmville games...your not going to do very well. If xyz.com has a following of young adults ranging 17 - 24 and you are selling kegs of beer and beer pongs...you might be heading for financial trouble on the campaign. The primary geographics play a huge factor too. An example would be that...eskimos are not likely to buy into the latest bikini trends. (well...i guess that would depend on why they are looking at bikini's...lol) |
