Does Google disapprove of one page websites? Does anyone know why or how recently they made this change?

Just add a disclaimer and contact links on the one page website and it's ok as far as adwords is concern..

==> Articles pages linking to your landing page also increase the relevancy in Google's eyes of your page and should lower the Adwords CPC you pay. | ||

The short answer is no one knows (even Google). One page websites or landing pages are NOT a good idea. If you are talking a landing page for adwords you should consider this: It will take about an extra 15 minutes to create a 3 page landing page as opposed to a 1 page one. Google QS can be very favourably increased by using "keyword depth" (my phrase). This is where you include your main keyword once as a text link to another of the 3 pages. The page the link lands on should have the keyword/phrase in the "page-names" meta sections and the H tags as well as the content. By doing this you are almost guranteed to get a perfect QS (all else equal). I don't call them "landing pages" any more I call them "landing sites". One page websites are not a good idea for anthing other than adwords campaigns where you have ZERO competition appearing for your keywords. Aaron |

I noticed that the two links in your sig point to sites with multiple pages so this must say something to help answer your question. Mini sites as well as authority sites both do well. A single page website??? |

The more pages you have on your web site, the more pages that are indexed into google, and the more traffic you can get. One page websites aren't necessarily bad, but you will have more success with additional pages.

The size of a website is definitely a factor googles algorithms, the larger the better, as long as the content on each page is original. It's not that a one page website is bad, it's just that a large website is good, and any one page website will have a hard time ranking/competing because of that.

I have one page sites (sales pages) which have page rank (approval you might say). But approval is not the same as ranking well. |
