I just started using adwords for a local website. This is what I want to do: I want my image ad to appear on Youtube as well as other websites that I have selected in the managed placements section of Adwords settings. (I'm targeting a small country in Africa where tthere's no one else currently utilizing Adwords) I set my CPM to $1 and chose no keywords in the keywords section. I assumed that by NOT setting any keywords I will appear on all ad spots in my placements as long as I'm paying a good enough CPM. (my image ad has already been approved) I have as yet had no impressions. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to choose a keyword? If my CPM is low.. shouldn't Google be telling me? |

You need to ad keywords related to your landing page or most if not all of your traffic would be usless. I am not sure if Google will even show your ad without keywords. You can try adding a bunch of broad match keywords but if your CPM is low your ad may still not show. |

I didn't need keywords. I checked out the placements tool and found out that my ad sizes weren't supported by those selected websites. I changed the ad sizes and I'm now getting tons of impressions. Thanks for your reply! | |
