Default Dangers of Article Networks like UAW, articleranks, Seolinkvine etc...

Today i log in to my ******* article distribution account as every day and i am approving some articles which are supposed to go on a high quality site of mine.

(This is a site where i am working hard on rankings for over a year already. I am proud of that site since it has nice and unique content.)

So i see that one article arrive asking me to redistribute. Since the niche of my site is very specific i am glad there is an article for this niche!

I am also pretty certain that the article had a good rewrite percentage, like 50%+, otherwise i wouldnt even allow it on my blog.

So the article gets posted, and it reads like a really well written and good article.

I select the first paragraph of the article and put it in Google - and here i see a 1:1 word for word copy of that article on some major web site!

How on earth can this be? I thought the articles are getting spun?

Needless to say that it might be very bad for my rankings, i don't think that having a word for word copy of some major site content would benefit my site AT ALL (mildly spoken...)

The other problem is that this WILL cause problems with copyright holders and site owners - especially once your own site starts ranking well....its simply a big no-no to steal other site's content and put it on your own site.

Add the fact that some of my OWN articles are sitting there for 3 days already not getting distributed....

YES....i submitted tickets and will see what's happening the next days.

Needless to say i am "little" ticked off right now...

Thats why I thought that particular network needed a support forum instead of just a ticketing system, lots of questions that could easily be answered in a support forum and without doubt the same tickets with the same questions must have been submitted 10 fold.

I like what is happening on the distributing end but I'm not so sure about adding other peoples articles as they just aren't spun enough or read quite bad.

I never even thought of looking into copied content =/
I'm mainly concerned about the copyright issues.

ditto on a support forum. The support desk replies i've been getting lately have some kind of irritated tone to them (like they've answered the same question multiple times)

This can easily be rectified by setting up a support forum.

You have nothing to worry about duplicate content. All major news websites like nytimes, cnn... get lots of their content from news agencies like AP, Reuters ...

The copyrights issue is more a concern but you can cover yourself with a good disclaimer or TOU (Terms of Use).

And yes, it is wrong to steal other people work!

uhm...i cannot have a site about, say, "acne treatment" and simply take a 1:1 copy from the current #1 site for "acne treatment" and put it on my site. This is some seroious trouble in the making, NOT only for your rankings.

We're going to see a lot more of this kind of thing now that folks are starting to notice that the search engines are actually indexing 1:1 article duplicates. I opted to receive some UAW content on one of my blogs to see what it would do and was not impressed with what i saw. Though that doesn't stop me from creating and submitting two new articles a day with them.

I agree with you on that. With that said, even google is not taking responsibility for the content people put on their blogger's blog... they are "just" the platform provider.

What I'm saying is, cover yourself for the legal issue and monitor manually for the extreme cases like the example you just mentioned.

Being new to this forum and this is my first post. I have found that this forum is excellent because I found some very good sources of information then I said "oh boy you've got to join this".

I joined AMA, Articleranks etc but I seem to like articleranks better because you can simply earn posting point by submitting your posts and accepting unique posts while others charge monthly what is for me a fortune taking into consideration the part of the world I live in.

Please does anybody know any article distribution service similar to articleranks? Free traffic system is similar while SEOlinkvine, articlemarketingautomation and myarticlenetwork are expensive taking into consideration that I don't post articles everyday.
Thanks and cheers to everyone.
